Max for the first time this season had to push to not get caught. Alonso and later Hamilton with the mediums had practically the same pace as him. It was a shame that Alonso didn’t had a new set of medium tyres and the issues with the rear brakes, he was faster than Hamilton when they had the same compound. The 33 is coming. 😎 Russell made a good comeback after the crash, having to retire the car was very harsh after all he did to get into the points again.
What’s great weekend. Canadian GP, US Open, and the Ashes. F in the chat for my wife and kids’ TV time please.
Thanks to the mods for making this thread!
Hoping for a good race, though it's bit late in the evening for us Europeans
For those of us in Canada I hope one day we get coverage without Ads... That's my favorite part of the US GP weekends. :D
Does Canada not get access to the F1 TV app?
Other than you know who, I have no predictions for how its going to play out!
how do y'all feel about race weekends with these later than usual session start times?
I hate them, give me my 8-9am sessions!
How about you Euros/Asians? Are these times better or worse?
European here, if I don't have anything planned for the weekend, I love them. If I plan a night out on Saturday, I hate them. Right now, I love it.
As an American, I greatly dislike the later times when races are on this side of the world. I don't mind waking up like 6,7,8am or whatever to watch a session. Or even staying up very late til like 4am. Even on Fridays for FP1 and FP2.
Idk, I like getting F1 "out of the way" so to speak, then I can do whatever else I need to do for rest of the day.
Like right now, it's 12:30p for me. That's not terrible since it's lunch time. But FP2 is at like 4pm; I tend to take a nap around then. If I was still working from the office, I'd be leaving the office around then.
UK. Love them. Nothing like having a good weekend ending with a live race on a Sunday evening.
there's nothing better than going to bed after being let down by ferrari
🟥 Red flag. Gasly stopped on track, with a broken driveshaft
The track is clear, but the red flag is taking a long time.
According to the Spanish broadcast, there is something wrong with the security cameras
What an action-packed FP1!
RIP Ferrari engine :(

Does it rain everyontreal GP weekend?
Technical issues for Zhou, that was quick
Wonder what the issue is. Hopefully he can recover tomorrow...
yay, full wets!
What is this race direction? We're missing albon and Norris soft lap. Who is in charge this weekend? Seems worse than other weekends.
What a clusterfuck that was at the end.
Aw, man, went to commercial right as Gasly was about to tell everybody how he felt about Sainz being in the middle of the track.
Sainz should get even more then a 3 grid penalty. This was not only impeading, but crazy dangerous.
I look forward to McLaren raising my hopes, and then dashing them quite expertly.
