That was pretty well written, both technically and for flow.
I was expecting it to be a 'let's seed bomb' piece, but it wasn't. I like how they have chickens in the mix too.
I would avoid peat as an amendment unless you know what you're doing. It's high C:N ratio can offset a lot of what you're trying to achieve, but it's wonderful in a situation where you're ok with some tradeoffs and shit is drying out too quickly
