Photo of hams on our last ball throwing today:

This was just after the last ball throw and he just gave up and stood there. Such a doofus I love him.

Today's the kind of day where I'd like to be buried in and trapped by a multitude of soft, purring cats

Oh no, The Other Site has finally forced the new design on mobile browser and it now has that dreaded infinite scroll on main pages. I hate that so very much. Antisocial design.

Looking forward to beers and smoked meats with the family today, for my dad's birthday. Uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents; gonna be an A+ day!

I love changing single bed fitted sheet.
Back home bed was 5 feet up and a pain to change.
And then I had been sleeping in Queen bed and it was a pain to change.
Then I used queen sheets on single bed and it was a bit annoying.

Now for the first time I have a single fitted sheet on a single bed that is knee level not eye level.
I love changing my bed sheet.

Attracting hilarious amounts of attention at the supermarket with a dodgy trolley making fart noises 😹

Aww yuusss Christmas came fucking early my friends.

Clearing out a back corner i notice hey, there's a path under here. Well i gotta clear it for the eventual pool hall anyway, and i'm on the hunt for concrete chunks to crazy pave the bbq area, so let's do this, biiiitch.

The 'path' is a bunch of gravel loosely held together by kykuyu-riddled cement that's four grains off mortar and gone to utter shit. Levers up in segments that explode into 50-7mm chunks as soon as you drop 'em.

Well i gots me a retaining wall that i need to finish filling behind with aggregate and all this removal has left me a lovely fat hole that's perfect for a bunch of clay-heavy excavation i'm running out of storage tubs for (soil goes into The Heap). Perfect to stuff that shit into with a bunch of gypsum and compost and by the time we dig it back out for the cement slab it'll be delicious soil for my garden beds.

And i even got some decent chunks for my paving out of it.

W00t fuckin w00t.

I just ate a Big Mac. It wasn't good. Once a year is good enough for me.

I mourn for my younger self that I only discovered how good oat clusters & yoghurt is in my late 30s. It's way better than any of the kids milky cereals.

Just ordered a dashcam for the car. I promised myself I would, so I have. I have this affliction where I have to buy the best of the best when it comes to things like this when in reality the 2nd or 3rd best would absolutely do what I need, so I end up overspending. The worst part is knowing that I'm doing it but not being able to stop myself. $500 gone and I'll still need to pay someone to professionally do the hardwire installation. Just need to keep telling myself it's a good investment even though I've successfully driven for 25 years without needing one.

Also my friend has rainchecked today/tonight. It's real nice outside so I feel like I should probably go out and get some sun.. but.. Spider-Man 2.......

[-] fullkitwanker@aussie.zone 5 points 11 months ago

On the plus side, you may now feature on DashCamOwnersAus!

I already have a plan for my outlandish exclamation after I see some dickhead doing dickheadery, to entertain that channel

I was singing along to Wake Me Up When September Ends
"Twenty years has gone so fast"
The song turns 20 next year.

Hey bot. Great to see ya. Lots of laughs tonight. Interested to see how the old body turns up in the morning.

Ran across this on YT - Wow. Just wow. Nice antidote to rudolph and suchlike. Proper pronunciation as well. You have been warned

[-] just_kitten@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago

I think the link's been bodged in your comment so here it is for everyone else wanting a banging rendition of a classic choon.

Since I'm scabbed up and no longer contagious I am determined to get out of my house today. I think I'll settle on a little country drive near home so if I get to tired I can just call it quits without to much drama.

[-] 6368_39162@aussie.zone 5 points 11 months ago

Apparently I require midnight snacks. And am not a robot.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 11 months ago

Have a big bag of stuff for op shop and will be looking for a nice frame for a new print. Could not resist getting Shearing the Rams at the art gallery.

Day 2 of 3 using an antifungal cream up there. I won't lie, sliding a tube all the way in and pumping out a stream of thick white liquid certainly can remind one of other activities. Yes these are the after effects of the damn antibiotics I took because of the cat bite so long ago now. I really hope this round works. So over the itching.

[-] 6368_39162@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago

Urk! Better eat some yogurt too if you’re that out of whack.

[-] just_kitten@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago

Yep, hoovering it up as we speak. Dang antibiotics.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago

How did it get to almost the end of the already. I’m starting to feel my end of year slump creeping in. I often get to this point and feel like I’ve wasted another whole year, and feeling like everyone else has done so much and here I am with nothing really different from how I started the year, just another year older. I’m OK, just needed to put my existential contemplations out into the void.

Catching up with another friend today. She's coming over for the day and night then we're going to a Sunday market. Hadn't spoken from April until 2.5 hours ago but now we've got whole weekend plans. Should be nice.

[-] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago

1hr, 8 mins of work to go. Fingers crossed for minimal chaos in that time 🤞

[-] fullkitwanker@aussie.zone 4 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)
