Disposable vapes are the worst, but hugely convenient which is why they're popular I guess.
No idea how this thing is going to be kept from going out of control.

Can someone please explain how all these (what I assume to be shady as fuck) tobacco and vape shops stay in business? They are sometimes just down the street from each other. Are they just fronts for Big Tobacco?
Big tobacco doesn't like them. People must like variety and convenience and margins are probably good if they're not heavily taxed.
Many sell illegally imported cigarettes under the counter. They're about $20/pack (compared to $40β50 for legal darts) and all cash transactions.
You have to do all that to dispose of a vape? There's gotta be thousands littered around. Where I live you can just drop them off at a local tip so I keep mine and when my "dead vape" tin gets full I just take them all at once. Even though it's so easy to get rid of them properly there's still WAAY too many just lying around.
Australia seems especially shitty recycling e-waste. Weβre probably supposed to do the same thing with electric toothbrushes but I bet no one bothers.
Most of the batteries are rechargeable lithium
Kids at schools just flush them down the toilet. So you can try that
