No shit, sherlock. Known by traditional gardeners everywhere. Wait till they discover they can also add trees to the mix!

But seriously: more such studies, I'm really glad we are slowly overcoming the "Kill-all-but-the-crop" paradigm of agriculture.

Well, the AMF only 'shield' the plants against fungal pathogens. If there are none and I understood it correctly, the AMF don't do much.
