There should be riots over this.

Police must be held to higher standards and should not be shielded from public scrutiny.

It's not that simple.

My father in-law works in the prison system, we keep that quiet, my wife uses her mother's name, having her dads face and name released to the public, could put my family in danger.

It could be the same for this cop.

What do you mean by double standard? If it happened to me or you we wouldn't be identified publicly.

Holding cops to a higher standard is admirable but there are plenty of examples of where they aren't even held to the same standard so perhaps we should be fixing that first?
