Holy crap, they're the worst I've ever seen them this year. Fucking nymphs are all over my patio, the house, the car...

For every one I kill, I find 4 more. Also, I don't remember them jumping like fleas!

It's crazy because here in Somerset County, I've seen like three.

What’s funny is they’re not as bad where I live (central Jersey) this year. I have noticed the ones I do see are much more nimble and can fly further. Philly had the same situation where the population of the flies exploded but then receded after a couple of years. From the article I read about it scientists aren’t sure of why.

They've died off here for the season, but a couple towns over, people I know said they weren't seeing any.

Last month I realized a couple trees at work had been hit by lightning. They were all over them.

Yeah, I had to tape off the trees in my yard to keep these jerks from killing them. I was shocked at how often I had to replace the tape, it’d get to the point where they were able to crawl over the corpses already stuck on the tape. Thankfully that was last summer, this year I saw maybe 10% of the volume of the previous summer. What’s gross is you can see them spray while they devour the tree, it’s disgusting.
