An equivalent of r/ifyoulikeblank (suggestions based on things you already like), and/or r/tipofmytongue (for trying to find things you've forgotten the name of)
Given how many posts about Reddit have not been on the threads set up for them, a Reddit-specific community to post in might be worth considering. Though I don't know for how long that'll remain an issue, and it could devolve into navel-gazing.
Aquariums? (Fishkeeping, aquascaping & plants, ponds, questions and discussions etc).
There was a pretty active and generally positive sub on reddit. If such a place hasnt already been created on another instance that might be a fun community.
Windows OS
And/or
Mac OS
To match all the Linux communities?
The windows discussions on reddit were always really helpful.
Or maybe just Tech Support.
Or an even more general "Advice and Help" or "Troubleshooting" hive, for any kind of troubleshooting.
Anything witchcraft related, if possible.

Sorry if these have already been suggested... communities equivalent to: r/backpacking r/vagabond r/solotravel r/onebag r/heronebag
Physical media? (For collectors of film, game vinyl, etc)
A community about music production would be cool! I feel like the current music community is mostly about listening to music or making recommendations, it'd be cool to have one that's dedicated to production.
Baking or cooking in general?
Already see parenting on there. 😁 Us parents thank you.
I think I'd like something related to a second hand market. That might not be good for an early pass of communities, but it's still something I'd like to see eventually. It looks like sustainability is a popular suggestion, and so a second hard market could probably go in there. One of the big things with sustainability is to stop consuming new goods constantly and to instead part ways via sales with products you no longer strictly need, and to get new goods you want second hand from someone else doing the same
I think most of the suggestions here are wonderful and as long as everything is kept positive I think it should attract the right communities to thrive.
Thank you for doing this! A few suggestions I haven't seen or couldn't find, at least, are below.
- Spanish / Español
- AskWomen / AskWomenOver30
- Wilderness Backpacking
- Medicine
- Cooking
I know there has been some posts of wanting an Archery community, but at the same time the conversations I've seen have also wondered about the widespread appeal of it, and the plan (if a main community isn't created) is to keep posting in sports until (if) there is enough interest.
