"Trump FALSELY claims," I think you mean BBC. Jesus christ.

This article is pretty bad, the first paragraph already gives his lie too much credit. it doesnt mention that this is misinformation until deep in the article.

CEO Sam Altman, who had previously emphasized that he didn’t have any equity in the company, will now get equity worth billions, in addition to ultimate control over OpenAI.

what! You mean he stands to profit billions after lying about his intentions?! A techbro would never!!

Thoughts on the game Timberborn (store.steampowered.com)

Has anybody given this game a try? I've been considering it for a while, but money is tight. Curious if it was worth it.

Or conversely, other other new simulation games you would recommend?

Maybe its just me but I'd be way more likely to buy a game if I knew it was made by well treated workers.

I think this is mostly just a case of becomming super rich. It happens a LOT to people who become wealthy, it tends to change your personality and the way you think, usually for the worse.

There have been many studies that confirm this. Though there are a few exceptions, the data shows rich people really do tend to behave like entitled assholes, think they know better, think they ARE better.

Reminds me of how Trump has been going after wind farms for a long time. He claims they're noisy and they're killing all the birds. (He began saying this when Scotland wanted to place Wind farms near his Scottish golf resort)

"Protect the children" is the new "fight terror". Big empty phrases that only end up taking away rights and targeting minorities.

I like how they keep testing this crap on the Canadian market.

I dont know if were the best guinea pigs, I mean look at what we pay for telecoms. We're pretty passive when it comes to being gouged, other countries might not be so potato-like in their response.

The fact that its been so normalized to be this openly shitty and callous toward frigging children... i dont even know how to react to this any more.

Im not saying its hopeless, but I feel like a lot of people on the "lets not let children go hungry" side of the fence are almost left speechless by these idiots. But i feel like thats almost part of their strategy - stunning the opposition. There has to be a better response.

What's the best way to respond to this kind of brazen cruelty? (Besides voting and campaigning for candidates who arent sociopathic).
