That was a pretty inclusive "and" he used

Hating doctors for the state of healthcare is like hating fast food workers for the state of the fast food industry. Very few of them are actual owners and every franchise is a front for some rent extraction by an inheritor leech. Any remaining quality just means the owner class didn't extract enough value from it.

I don't know how you get them to do what you're asking but they can refuse by simply saying no. And if you are insufficiently servile in accepting that they will find ways of punishing you.

"How do we find a doctor who will cooperate?" is a great way to find out what kind of secret things doctors and hospitals can do to fuck up your life for threatening to go around them or hurting their feelings.

It's to turn all of the roads you care about into toll roads, except for you because you need to use the road for business reasons so that's exempt.

Slavery didn't end in the civil war, it was nationalized. Go back and read the 14th amendment, it made slavery legal in every state even the ones that had outlawed it.

They should have at least gone on record as voting to impeach him.

People forget that impeachment has two parts One of them is to express disapproval of the president's conduct as un-American and inappropriate, and the other is to remove him from office. Clinton was impeached but was not removed from office. This used to be a big deal but Republicans turned it into a joke.

The fact that they are turning fundamental components of the governments internal functions into dismissible jokes is all the more reason people need to show what side of the line they stand on.

Adjusted for inflation using an inflation statistic that does not factor in changes to the price of medical care, housing, or energy.

Yeah when I was a kid my dad used to say, "If everywhere you go, you're surrounded by asshole, you need to take your head out of your ass."

Taking a page from the Russian oligarch playbook and tossing your mistress out of a window because they threaten to expose you is just one more cartoonishly evil thing Peter Thiel did.

Somehow I'm getting the impression you don't understand the problem here.

People need jobs, prevailing wisdom told them to go to college so they would become hireable. It turns out a college degree doesn't make you hireable.

They are right to feel betrayed about the debt they took on to the benefit of landlords and banks, at the urging of pretty much every adult in the country, and to the end result of ever expanding debt all from a time in their life where they could not have borrowed a similar amount of money to start a business or purchase a home.

They were used. They were tricked. They are being taking advantage of and we all are going to suffer mightily because of what that leveraged wealth is able to do in terms of political and financial power.

The kids who took on this debt are not your enemy. I think it was pretty clear to some of us growing up at the turn of the millennium that this is where it was all going, but it's hard for me to condescend to the kids who believed their parents.

I'm just really lucky that I had experience working with computers and was able to get a job that has nothing to do with anything I learned in school at any point along the way.

Really sorry about the multipost. Don't know how that happened. Sorry to blow up your mailbox and again with this message.
