First they came for the Gazans and... I supported them because I was foolish enough to think it would stop them from coming for me
I wonder how super-pro-Israel countries like Germany and US will behave when the settlers come back. Are they going to let themselves be the new zionist base or will their anti-Jew ass show itself? Like there is a huge difference between virtue signalling on how anti-nazi you are while having an unrelated third party pay for your mistakes and actually having to pay with your own land and pockets.
The poll from Tel Aviv University. It was previously posted on one of the weekly news posts.

"What goes around comes around" just like when Israel did nakba right?
How many of these 'hexbearhatesjews' or 'hexbearwilldie' users have there been? I noticed quite a bit.
Singapore itself is an Israeli ally and has been trying to frame the whole war as just a case of racial and religious disagreement rather than colonialism. It is also participating in Operation Prosperity Garden (the US-backed operation to stop Ansar Allah from enforcing the red sea blockade on Israel). I feel for the charity workers. The government's hands however are stained with both Palestinian and Singaporean blood.
Reminds me of a reddit conversation I had regarding Anne Rice after she died; aside from harassing fanfic writers Anne Rice was also part of Stop the Goodreads Bullies (For those who don't know, STGRB is what you get when a bunch of authors and their fans set up their own kiwifarms to attack bloggers that call out bigoted writing and rating manipulation while claiming to be an anti-bullying movement. Gamergate's own wiki last time I checked sees them in positive light.).
When I pointed out the latter to the OP that wanted to discuss her death OP and other users were like 'she just died', 'there are worse people out there' or 'she supports lgbtq/ is pro-democrat'. Later on other redditors commented that 'yeah in view of what I said she is kind of a pos'. OP deleted the thread after that.
I know using pop culture to describe politics would be considered very... liberal by you guys but I feel like this is how I'm processing it; it feels like blue apologists engage with politics the same way a ttrpg player engages with a Blades in the Dark campaign. If something undesirable happens just do a Flashback to rewrite reality in your head.
There are apparently also Malaysian and Indonesian netizens cyber-harassing IOF agents: https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/southeast-asia-social-media-online-activism-dox-israel-hamas-war-palestinians-3958491
I'm replying to your comment here because I can't see your original comment from my instance.
I feel that the state of queer rights is actually getting worse and that Singapore as a whole is getting more reactionary. The stuff below are what got me to this conclusion.
cw for homophobia, transphobia and ableism
2021
Someone made a post on reddit identifying herself as trans student (she/ her pronouns). She was barred from transitioning and that her principal told her ‘due to your presentation, you would be as disruptive to the school environment as a student with severe autism’. link
2022: I felt that Singapore's anti-LGBTQ community got more active and aggressive in this year.
There was a school counselor who hijacked a sex ed to spread homophobic stuff. After the incident the counselor was barred from teaching sex ed. Explanation they gave was that the counselor showed un-vetted material with no acknowledgement of the homophobia. link
Then there was this protect Singapore/ families townhall organised by Jason Wong (he seems to be super-active in anti-LGBTQ movements). Police did not consider this hate speech. link
While it's true that Section 377A was repealed in 2022, at the same time the constitution was changed to define marriage as between man and woman, completely invalidating the reason people wanted it removed. link
Around this time the Singapore politicians were whining about protecting homophobes from cancel culture. Yup. The type of stuff you expect from anti-PC comedians in the US or kid's show writers in Japan is parroted unironically by local politicians. Instead of changing themselves they accuse LGBTQ for taking away their citizens. It's pathetic and scary in the same way an incel school shooter is.
Also Singapore has been infiltrated by a lot of anti-LGBTQ talking heads from foreign countries. This is one article on transphobic foreign interferance
The book 'The Aware Saga: Civil Society and Public Morality in Singapore' also has information on how the christian right managed to ban official sex ed from ever being able to acknowledge or properly educate on gender and sexual minorities.
They constantly call LGBTQ foreign interference yet allow anti-LGBTQ talking heads into the country.
A few years ago a christian organisation in US did a poll on how aware the christian population was on the church's teachings or something like that. MoBlack (anarchist-communist anime blogger that wrote many Medium articles breaking apart Shield Hero) pointed out that while people generally answered questions regarding sex and abortion 'correctly' (as in they were aware of the church's stance), when it came to things like "are children born innocent" (correct answer: No. All children are born with original sin because Adam and Eve ate the fruit.) only like 30% could match the church's stance.
The conclusion he came to was that the super religious people are not actually super religious. They are just very political about their religion.
