Puberty makes everyone emotional, regardless of gender. Women are not in constant puberty, and are not constantly overflowing with emotions.

And while some women may have strong support networks that allow them to be more openly emotional, that is not the baseline for all women and it never has been.

Men are not better at containing their emotions either, if they were violent crime and sexual harrassment would be much less of an issue.

This idea that if women aren't behaving like men about their problems, they must not be having problems- is a really short sighted one.

(All uses of 'men' and 'women' here are trans inclusive.)

The undertones and finish on the swatch card are completely different to what is on the wall.

I see a warm pinky peach undertone and a satin matte finish on the card. The wall has a cool blue green undertone and a semi gloss/satin finish.

A whole wall in the colour and finish on the swatch card will reflect light in a very different way to what the current colour does and have a much nicer ambience for a home.

This is mostly copied over from my recent comments elsewhere, but it is very relevant here too.

By 2030 we are going to be 40% over capacity on fresh water resources globally. and 40% of arable land has already been depleted, and 95% will be by 2050.

And that's just water and food.

Once arctic ice sheet coverage gets below 1,000,000 square kilometres, the planet will be absorbing more heat than it reflects and this is called a Blue Ocean Event.

The BOE will trigger the Clathrate Gun which will cause seabeds to rapidly realease fuck tons of methane, cooking the earth in it's own atmosphere.

2024 Arctic sea ice likely reached its annual minimum extent of 4.28 million square kilometers.

Greenhouse gas emissions are still increasing and fuelled by climate change, the world's oceans have broken temperature records every single day over the past year.

So it's basically a race between whether the drought and famine kill us all first, or the BOE setting off the Clathrate Gun will.

Either way, it is unlikely the human race survives the century. Creating more people to suffer in this dying world, is stupid and cruel and is only going to speed up our demise.

I've been following this blog since my reddit days and I've found it to be a valuable source of information on global events relating to the poly-crisis.

Oh hey, I have something for this.

From experience, 'making it somebody else's problem' by asking for help, rarely ends well or gets you the help you need. It just makes you an annoyance and look bad, and eventually people (healthcare workers included) decide you're malingering and/or attention seeking and start treating you even worse.

Isn't life fun.

Good little article, worth a read.

B.C. provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the teenager in Children’s Hospital with Canada’s first presumptive case of avian flu is in critical condition. Henry said the teen was admitted late on Friday and their condition varied over the weekend but that as of Tuesday they had taken a turn for the worst.

Reminds me of that disney case where they claimed agreeing to the terms on disney+ meant they could kill that guys wife.

Ffs, you can do 4b without being transphobic.

Just because some 4b assholes with a website have written a transphobic clause in their manifesto, doesn't mean they speak for all 4b followers.

Stop shitting all over this movement because you've found somebody in it with an awful take on an unrelated matter.

Not having sex or relationships with folk who can impregnate you is sensible when your country is about to ban abortion and restrict contraceptive access.

I'm hungry but I can't eat because I haven't bought food or done the dishes.

I could go and buy food, but that requires multiple steps of organisation and going outside and yeah, like I could do that, but I don't wanna put on pants and find my keys. Also even if I do all the many, many things required to go outside and buy the food, I still have to wash the dishes to be able to cook/prep it.

I think I'm just going to deal with heing hungry for a bit. It's less effort.

Eh, I was tired and sad all the time as a kid too. At least now I have autonomy and don't have to live with crazy people.

I don't understand what is so reprehensible about trans kids being able to socially transition to live as their chosen gender? Social transition is clothing and behaviour, not surgical or medical. If the kid doesn't like it, they tried it, found out for themselves, and can stop whenever they want.

And what is so evil about trans kids being able to choose to delay puberty till 18, so they can as legal adults, then decide if they want to safely medically and surgically transition, or not and go through the puberty of their birth gender?

Going through puberty in the wrong body causes unbelievable distress to many trans kids, leading to eating disorders, self harm, suicide, and a whole load of other awful mental and physical problems.

Why is safely alleviating harm to these children by allowing them to socially transition and delay puberty, a bad thing?

No trans child is getting surgery. Puberty blockers are safe and entierly reversible.

Gender affirming care has nothing to do with your disgusting paedophillic fantasies about children, and that you even correlate the two IS reprehensible and very telling of the type of person you are.

.

Intersex children (born with undefined anatomy) get operated on at doctors discretion from their birth onwards, but this isn't a conversation about that, however immoral and harrowing it is.

Women being referred to as 'females' makes my skin crawl. I have only encountered this term being used by men who objectify and dehumanise women.
