Makes sense. I recall watching a documentary showcasing how children were drinking from 2L soft drink bottles.

What is the objective behind selling the chocolate bars? I will have to delve deeper into the topic.

Enforcing polygraph testing will invariably make people less trusting of you. There needs to specific reasons that target specific people.

I finished reading Anna Karenina and opted to follow up with The Brothers Karamazov. I inadvertently chose to continue reading Russian period classics.

This has never crossed my mind. I wouldn’t mind an irl open world with an open map option and fog of war.

Edit: grammar error

I’m not surprised. I live in Australia and always wanted to travel to the US. As time goes on the likelihood of travelling there seems more bleak.

Rolex. Up to you to interpret what this means.

I just wanted to watch the chicken jockey scene for closure.

Intelligence is a huge factor. For instance it is possible to would be possible to solve a Rubik’s cube if you have the intelligence and no never solved one in your life. You can draw pictures of each step and execute when ready. You could in theory build the physique and stamina required for swimming in other ways and transfer it to the first time you swim.

I can’t fathom how it would take this long to be diagnosed as being neurodivergent. It seems convenience was the real reason in defence of allegations.

Football is already the world game. The second it takes over the US the sport may be at its peak competitiveness.

Bypassing internal hiring regulations is common. Cronyism is societally accepted at this point.

I am Australian and have always known it exclusively as the American term “ladybug”. Never heard of ladybird before.

My understandings on the Fediverse is unclear right now. Will you be able to search for posts just as in stack overflow and reddit right now?

I'm not sure if there is a place to promote your own communities in lemmy.world. I decided to create a thread where you can post and promote your own community.

Mine is focused on watches: https://lemmy.world/c/watches

I am theoretically switching over from Reddit to Lemmy. Finding myself spending more time on Lemmy than on Reddit. Maybe it's because I am limited to using the desktop and can't aimlessly browse Reddit on my iPhone. Of late, the only subreddits I cared for were on sports and their matchday threads and r/watches. I found myself aimlessly browsing through r/AskReddit and asking and answering pointless questions.

I subconsciously felt that this "lemmy.world" instance was for those with at least a smidgeon of programming knowledge. Otherwise the name just seems odd.

Does anyone else get subscribe pending when subscribing in another instance?

When I subscribe in a community in another instance it always says "pending " in yellow. I can comment but I am not officially subscribed to the community. E.g. subscribing to "!nostupidquestions@lemmy.ml"

Maybe I just need to wait.

Edit: It says "subscribe pending" in yellow

Refer to title.
