A state should absolutely review the subsidies given to any company, no matter the size. A subsidy should always be transparent in its use.
Our government gutted many environmental regulations recently, and they're planning for some more. It's only gonna get worse in France, at least, until we wake the fuck up and vote for some positive changes. Which doesn't seem to be what's gonna happen in 2027...

I guess both can be true. They've proven themselves right times and times again that running massive disinformation campaigns work in this day and age. They successfully meddled in many elections and have a massive influence on social networks. But their military is a victim of corruption and mismanagement, they have the numbers but they seem under equipped and under trained. A strategy which also worked many times for them as well.
There is also probably a fair bit of propaganda against Russia that might skew our opinions, but I don't think these two cases are mutually exclusive.

One thing Windows is absolutely amazing at, is backwards compatibility. A software from 20 years ago can still run seamlessly on a newer version. That's something to behold, and it definitely makes the system bloated. But then, on top of their shady practices, they add a lot of useless shit, which makes the bloat even worse.
They're part of the problem, but you can become a millionaire ethically, not a billionaire.
