On the recovering end of being sick. Some flavours of the past were needed. American Deluxe Mac & Cheese with browned beef mince and a healthy splash of red chile sauce.

As a shift worker, it’s been a life saver. Thanks for the reminder to see about grabbing some!

The Merkur was a decent starter for me. I ended up with a Gillette Fatboy and haven’t looked back. I think it ran me like $65-ish US buying it on eBay. I hardly shave at all anymore, but I can still get a good shave out of it on the occasions I need it. I think I have a Feather blade in it at the moment, but I prefer the Astra Platinum.

Edit: apparently spelling “Feather” is difficult

They do/did. We just happened to have a good surround sound setup and I often opted for using it. The proverbial straw was my trip to the center of the galaxy and back. My ears could take headphones for only so long before I had to go back to the speakers for a bit

Congratulations! That’s pretty rad! I only played on console and had to shelve it since my partner got super tired of hearing “friendship drive charging” a billion times.

Was copious amounts of alcohol involved?

Many thanks for that. Those look like reasonable places to start mapping out strategy and hardware investments.

So, I had to go nuclear and I’ve ended up with only a singular cloud backup of what was a Synology DS 412+.

The backup itself is through the Synology Amazon Glacier app.

I’m looking to ultimately move the data away from both Amazon and Synology.

My question then falls into two parts:

  1. Am I able to extract said archive from Amazon without using the Synology app?

  2. If the above is not possible, am I able to run the Synology os on hardware not from Synology itself?

I do understand the data extraction can end up being pricy even at a mere 12TB. I’m okay with that. That’s the price we’ve accepted for making it easier to move across the world.

So, I’m notoriously bad at exfoliating my face. I’ve never really been a fan of the mechanical scrubs, and I normally have facial stubble. I intermittently use one of the green Korean exfoliating cloths on my nose and forehead.

I’ve been seeing enzymatic exfoliators here and there, and was curious if they’d be worth a try.

Any commentary, recommendations, etc?

A blast from the past.

Cyberdyne Systems, Wayland-Yutani Corporation, Tyrell Corporation, or Arasaka Corporation? Something else?

Gary Numan from 1979. Close enough for government work, yeah?

Was a fun special shape to see.
