Have you got a source that shows that data of FF users actually went to AccuWeather or is this purely speculation?

Former Palastinian leader, Yassar Arafat who was awarded a nobel peace prize died in 2004 confined to his compound by the IDF. Swiss investigators suggested polonium poisoning, French and Russian investigators didn’t really make a conclusion, but couldn’t really confirm or deny it.

A Hamas founder was killed in 2004:

“Yassin, a quadriplegic who was nearly blind, had been reliant on a wheelchair due to a sporting accident at the age of 12.[8] In 2004, he was killed when an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile at him as he was being wheeled from Fajr prayer in Gaza City.[9] The attack, which also killed both of his bodyguards and nine bystanders, was internationally condemned.”

Yassin on several occasions proposed long-term ceasefire agreements, or truces, so called Hudnas, in exchange for Israeli concessions. All such offers were rejected by Israel. Following his release from Israeli prison in 1997, he proposed a ten-year truce in exchange for total Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza and a stop to Israeli attacks on civilians. In 1999, in an interview with an Egyptian newspaper, he again offered a truce: We have to be realistic. We are talking about a homeland that was stolen a long time ago in 1948 and again in 1967. My generation today is telling the Israelis, 'Let's solve this problem now, on the basis of the 1967 borders. Let's end this conflict by declaring a temporary ceasefire. Let's leave the bigger issue for future generations to decide.' The Palestinians will decide in the future about the nature of relations with Israel, but it must be a democratic decision. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Yassin#Views_on_the_peace_process

Considering he was returning from mosque, and was executed, to international condemnation, it’s clear to see that he was replaced with much worse. Three of Hamas leadership have lost family also (wife/2 children, brother, eldest son).

In 2006, Hamas won a majority for the first time and took control of the Gaza strip and booted Fatah out.

From heading hopefully towards peace, to a divided Palestine with an increasingly hostile Hamas in the space of 2 years with the IDF possibly playing a significant part in that, it is hard to say that Israel aren’t more than a little responsible for radicalising Hamas further/agitating them. They also hold an awful lot of territory in the West Bank (which Hamas do not control).

It does not seem Israel want peace at all. I cannot imagine they are this incompetent. Not that I’m defending Hamas, they’re absolute assholes. Though. killing 7000 people including 40% children, it is the population of Gaza who are suffering. It is certainly going to help Hamas recruit with so many people losing parents, siblings and relatives. We head away from peace with every single day and it’s so painful to watch this.

And the telling thing is that the share holders are keeping him in post. They either don't have a long term interest in the business, or support him, and even if he goes, the rot is still there. The larger shareholders should be seriously reflecting on how is on the board and applying significant pressure to change that if they care about the long term of the company.

Try to give a name and model. An interesting privacy suggestion on a non privacy respecting website means folk are forced to click it.

It's ok, you're not on reddit now.

One point I'll add that I think needs saying is that these folk set up after CTH got banned from reddit. They were pushed into an echo chamber against their choice. It's been years now, and they've got used to that echo chamber and how they behave around each other. Federating means that culture that they have been used to for years is now not the only way to operate and could be problematic for them. It will take some time to bed in, and realise low effort in joke meme's just won't work. They will be outside their comfort zones and it could be disconcerting, but will learn to adjust. Some quicker than others.

The point I am making is that initial impressions may not reflect the behaviour 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years down the line. Do we believe that people should be pushed to the fringe in echo chambers, or do we believe that maybe reddit's content policies are probably more geared to atmosphere and money than what is correct for an online discussion forum?

Perhaps some would even realise that instance isn't right for them, and while they can interact with it, and have that freedom they feel more at home with general purpose instances.

Have you considered Proton Mail? It's by folk from CERN in Switzerland. So non-5 eyes. It's a very solid and reliable email service.

Or governments should legislate companies. They'll pollute until they're stopped like they used to allow people to work with radioactive substances without protection. Companies will try and profit regardless until a government steps in and says, not this way.

We should obviously try to re-use, reduce, recycle, but we cannot do this on our own, and the vast majority won't, so a small minority that cares is carrying the burden while pissing in the wind.

I would suggest Linux Mint Cinnamon. It's very Windows like, and just works. It's a great distro to get started. I started on it, and many others have. Non-techy relatives really took to it also.

Yes, I have a Pixel 6a, and have installed GrapheneOS on it. It does what I need and I enjoy the extra privacy. Would recommend.

In the UK, banking apps are optional, I can use website in browser.

With GrapheneOS, you can install Play apps sandboxed and with dummied google apps and control how much of the file system they can see etc.

I would assume outlook has a web client. Not sure what InTune is so cannot comment.

No matter how talented you are, if you do not apply it, it is a waste. Find a way to make an impact on the world, no matter how small.
