You can legally kill anyone related to someone who has had Disney+.

Iirc, the wife died, the husband sued, and they tried to say the husband can't sue because HE had had the subscription a long time ago.

Each subscriber loses the right to sue for any of their loved ones.

After all, if they're dead, they can't sue you anyway

I require explanation, due to my country of origin not being the United States of America

I also have always wanted to sleep in a huge dog bed but, unfortunately

Summer

I'm already suffering the tyranny of sweating all my liquids out twice a night, this would add a whole extra dimension of heat (pun not intended)

Lol

I just love when large organizations (governments included) skimp on something for monetary reasons, and get fucked down the line.

Too bad citizens pay the damages.

This meme might be ironic, but, no joke, this is both fucking adorable and also kinda the point of life.

The little things that you like, that make your every day brighter. Just go and get them.

Nah, if this is built through the social process of "Ha dude, this would be so cool, tell me, what should I add?" I think it's perfectly plausible.

I mean... Recoiling in horror sounds a little bit like Woman Bad ^tm^ had something to do with it.

Being gender curious (or having Gender Imposter Syndrome) is a sign you're not entirely 100% SuperCis, but people's emotional reactions be complicated yo

Edit: As others said, there's also the "take unverifiable drugs from someone (friend or not) in a bar setting". And the "the post uses hyperbole for effect because memes".

Complicated indeed...

I used to not like the new Firefox logo when it first came out, but by now, I couldn't do with the old one, it looks so much... And I bet if they changed it back, it would take me 2 months max to switch opinions right back.

At some point I have to accept, I'm just an ape of habit.

[-] Daxter101@lemmy.blahaj.zone 98 points 10 months ago

So, I don't trust them to have actually done what I'm going to describe, (and honestly I've just accepted that even with everything off, they're still giving me ads based on stuff I've only talked about and never clicked or written anything), but:

The programs that recognize specific phrases(Ok Google), are always separate from normal voice recognition (and much much lighter in terms of processing). So, if they weren't Google, they might have left the "Ok Google" recognition on, but not process anything else that the mic receives.

They're probably still listening in though.

~~You should also know that SLS is banned in the EU, so this post made no sense to me until I went to Google for answers...~~

~~I swear, sometimes it's hard to fathom the little ways you got it rough over there.~~

A Google listicle about "7 banned substances in the EU" or some shit, straight up lied to me.

SLS (Sodium laurilsulfate) is not banned, not even particularly regulated, in medicinal products, in the EU.

"The vast majority of SLS use is in oral products (tablets and capsules) where it rarely displays any adverse reactions."

It only is "not permitted", as a food additive in the EU, and there is a 2017 study which argues for its regulation in skin products, because of irritation.

I was careless on the internet, and the world is more complicated than it seemed at first glance. Story as old as time.

Huh? Why, what is so special about Lemmings that---

Wikipedia: In popular culture, a longstanding myth holds that they exhibit herd mentality and jump off cliffs, committing mass suicide.

Huh.
