Icon pack: Nebula icons (purple icon, on the Play Store) Launcher: Samsung One UI Home, using Good Lock's Theme Park module to use Play Store icons.

There are also hidden stacked widgets, hiding battery stats, earbuds control and a music player widget. It's in the row above the dock but is hidden behind an empty KWGT widget.

I miss this so much :)))

All of Samsung's marketing budget went to the Z series event, I'm sure of it because damn. They did not care this much for the S23 event.

[-] Devgard@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

I have had the recent S series Samsung phones and no bloatware was uninstalled via updates like this, that's still disappointing to see

[-] Devgard@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

that's weird, I haven't faced any optimisation issues on my S23 Ultra, I get all messages like normal

[-] Devgard@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

from my own experience, that's definitely the case for Mastodon, except people are 40 and up.

[-] Devgard@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Seeing as this has been quite popular, this can be the fourth option!

[-] Devgard@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

honestly the web app is enough for me until Sync arrives.

Thank you for clarifying and for the consideration, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this out.

Regarding my response earlier, I made that reply on the assumption that it were you guys who put this up as a way to take some users back, which taking a step back now, I see that I was very wrong.

I'll be making a new mod reply to this post, which should clarify any misunderstandings to prevent new people viewing this post from accidentally making the same assumption I have made.

If you need to contact me, shoot me a DM and I can share my Telegram details there :)

Let me explain my reply.

From my POV, OP's post initially came across as advertisement, but targeted. Imagine that this community is an Apple store. To me this post seemed as if Samsung or Google had put up an ad directly in the middle of the store, trying to take back some customers.

It was my mistake to assume that OP posting was one of the mods.

I'm 100% ok with both communities co-existing, after all, the more content there is, the more likely the Fediverse will succeed. The only reason I was annoyed at first, was because of an advertisement for a similar community that came out of nowhere, with no notice/warning whatsoever, which in hindsight is completely understandable as this post wasn't at all made by the mods over at !android@lemdro.id.

Tl;dr I just wasn't comfortable with how the advertisement just appeared, as it seemed like a direct attack to steal people, but I was most definitely wrong with my assumptions. My reply was made solely on the assumption that the mods of !android@lemdro.id had posted this, and for that I am sorry.

I think it's still better than Samsung's first fold, which is good.

Quote from announcement post:

Morning all,
As the July deadline approaches I've been considering working on Sync for Lemmy.
So I thought I'd start by trying to gauge interest and start a general discussion.
Cheers,

Wow that had everything. In some ways it reminded me of what Thor Love and Thunder could've been.

I think it was a great film and one of the best possible send offs for the Guardians ❤️ Gonna miss them as the Guardians.

Ironically didn't expect Rocket to be the only one (+Groot) remaining in the team and everyone else leaving.

Flag as Inappropriate on the app store and review it 1 star or 2 star to avoid mass deletions due to brigading

Took a whole 30mins to try and find Sorcerer Mickey, Baymax and Ernesto but only got Ernesto :(

While I did get lots of questionable looks, half the fun of getting Lego Minifigures are feeling for them. Not ready for Lego to switch to cardboard boxes 😭
