Then he should stop fucking giving it

Dense but mostly alright. Definitely could've used a hint of vanilla

I'll keep that in mind, thanks!

Very true! It was a bit colder in the kitchen and I kinda impatient lol. I'm sure it still would've risen more if I had waited another 30-40 min.

Sadly I didn't think to take one right after, but here is a shot after a few slices! It's pretty dense, which is from the yeast not being active I'm sure

I haven't baked anything since highschool, kinda overestimated my abilities lol. Definitely a learning experience!

At least it's edible :)

A few mistakes I noticed:

Didn't activate the yeast before mixing in

Messed up the chocolate by accidentally mixing in some water from the steam from the double boiler

Shaped the dough prior to chilling

Didn't roll out the dough to the correct length. Had to smush it to get it to fit in the loaf pan

Forgot to buy vanilla paste for the dough

Forgot to premake simple syrup, didn't have any to apply after baking :(

Hopefully my next attempt goes better :)

I think they mean by arming them with sidewinders or stingers

I honestly really enjoyed the movie.

I really should pick this back up...

Hey y'all,

I live in the US and am in the market for a used EV but I'm not sure what to look out for. I want something with AWD and a decent range, storage space, and preferably a tow hitch. I don't really want a truck (even though that's kinda what I described) but rather something more along the lines of a hatchback.

The tow hitch is mainly so that I can attach an e-bike capable carrier to transport my e-bike

AWD is so I can drive up the mountain to snowboard

Hey all,

Looking for a sturdy commute panniers that fits the Ride1Up 700 Series rear cargo rack. I had an Ortlieb back roller but the clip broke and the bag rubbed against the tire and broke open. I think this was due to the bottom part of the mount not having a place to hook in to, leading to the bag jostling around too much.

Hoping to find something that's more compatible and sturdy but also less than $200 per bag if possible.

Hey all,

I've seen a lot of these posts pop up on my front page and it's honestly made me want to try getting into the hobby, however I tend to jump into hobbies neck deep and drop them shortly after. Is there any way to test the waters without going down the rabbit hole? It seems like you need a lot of equipment and experience to get the best results.

Another thing is that I tend to dislike store bought sourdough as I've found most of it to be too tangy/sour. Do all sourdoughs taste like this, or would it be fairly easy to control when making your own bread?

Edit: sorry, I should clarify. I'm specifically talking about sourdough. I've baked bread before (though it's been a long time) but most of the really good looking breads here have been sourdough.

Meet Same (サメ), my lil halfmoon Betta! I'm keeping him in a 10gal

Hey guys! I'm trying to find some retro reflective decals, preferably in an anime styling, for my helmet. Does anyone know of any creators that make truly retro reflective decals? Most of the ones I can find are just shiny/glittery.
