…no?

I mean, we're watching the slow and gruesome death of one of the Internet’s giants, as it eats itself from within. If that weren’t enough, we’re watching this spectacle from the most popular lifeboat for refugees fleeing the slaughter - so the boat is only getting bigger and more crowded every day.

It’s gonna be a popular topic for a while.

This is the most accurate description, IMO. If you’re looking for something that’s going to incorporate all the game mechanics into the story, and do so accurately, this isn’t it.

If you want a great time at the movies with excellent comedy, action, and characters you care about - while still holding true to the fantasy and adventure spirit of D&D?

Buckle up, baby.

Okay, this is good info to have. The books were on my TBR shelf when I started the show, and when I say the show surprised me...I mean, the first two episodes I caught myself actually leaning forward, resting my elbows on my knees because I was so intent on what was happening. And it has honestly been just about that good with every ep. The cast is incredible!

Another film school refugee! My brother/sister/other in arms!

It truly was like being on another planet. Not only did I obtain a functionally worthless degree (I'm grateful for the media literacy I learned, but holy crap), but I also got to spend three years feeling like a stranger in a strange land, because almost any time something popular came out in the theaters my peers immediately labeled it Absolute Garbage and moved on.

Yeah? Well screw you, Mike! I liked The Matrix! I saw it in theaters twice!

But there's no sense crying over every mistake

Yes, please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! I can’t hack this brand war shit anymore.

This is an awesome read on the topic. Thanks so much for writing it, man. It’s something that has bugged me about the Mat/Tylin relationship forever.

That was my understanding, but who knows? Thanks for the list, @noodlejetski!

My biggest lack of understanding is still regarding access: So, if I choose to access the Fediverse via Mastodon, can I still subscribe to Kbin and Lemmy “subs”?

I love the federated nature of all of this, I just wish it was slightly easier to put into a metaphor. I’ve seen some graphic charts that try, but it’s still a bit confusing. I’m on KBin and I like it a lot, but I have no way of knowing if I’m missing a ton of content or not!
