That's not at all what MIT is talking about here. This goes into detail around the challenges tied in rolling out grid scale solar in a way that aligns with supply and demand curves, and how to make sure we're able to capture overproduction so that we can use it when not enough is being produced. It's a complex shift to work out in our over 100+ year grid production structure, and has been an ongoing discussion across the energy sector. But you know...memes and shit.
Most young people don't know what's going on either with all the celebrities. Everything has just become so niche. You could have a popular streamer with 10M+ subscribers and interview 100 people on the street under 18 and nobody knows who they are.
What a fucking troll. I love it.
he wasn’t rambling though
Good lord, what could he possibly sound like when he is rambling.
This reminds me of the Xennial generation that fell between X and Millennial. This also sort of shows how little we can really actually equate from these 20+ year generational spans. Really I am just happy she's not old enough to collect SSI yet.
I'm fully in support of Kamala, but she's not Gen X. Close, but no cigar. She was born in 1964.
Prosecutor ≠ Cop
Sleepy Donald is upset. He should take a nap.
You can look at all my comments today to see my enthusiasm. I wish more folks were feeling hopeful. I told my partner I was stoked and she was so confused as to why this shouldn't be perceived as a full scale collapse.
I didn't like Kamala in the past. I didn't like Biden either. Politically speaking, they both align closely with one another and are also aligned quite close to my political leanings, ideally speaking. I didn't like the baggage Kamala brought with her and I didn't like how boring ole Biden was. Turns out boring won, and I've truly valued the work he's done since 2020.
I've also come around on Kamala since then, especially after reading her book, and listening to some of her speeches more recently. I don't think she's the same person she was 20+ years ago. Who among us would say that about ourselves? I think she's evolved away from the drug criminalization prosecutor era, and she's clearly gotten a lot stronger since 2020 as both a public speaker and debater.
If her and Trump actually do have a debate (I doubt it) I fully expect her to completely embarrass him. She's much younger, much sharper, and has all of the right tools through her career to completely pants him as the old withering corpse that he has become even since 2016. Bonus points if she drops a "lock him up!" because, well, she actually could.
Yes, I am actually looking forward to voting for Harris. I would even more so if she taps Mark Kelly as her VP. That would be a dream.
His name was already about as white bread as it gets. This is a real and genuine problem when it comes to hiring, but it's going to be a huge uphill battle for him to prove anything here.
"Dark messengers for Satanism"... Modern journalism really is fucking stupid. The Satanic Temple doesn't do anything like that, and starting your article out that way comes across as totally unserious and diminishes the work the Satanic Temple is actually out there doing.
Clearly not. The point is that grid scale deployment is not easy. It's an important discussion to do it right. The criticism is genuinely stupid and just spotlights people who clearly don't understand how any of this stuff works or what the article is even talking about. You can't just slap solar panels everywhere and call it a day.
Grid scale redundancies are important. Managing load is important. Energy storage is important. Scaling up renewables and scaling down conventional generation is important. Ensuring those who cannot afford their own BTM generation can access affordable electricity is important. That's entirely what this conversation is about.
