But now you are asking for the equivalent of every reddit user to make their own subreddit, host it and curate a feed to it, so they can browse it.

I mean sure, but it'd be like saying, you don't like the options for food, so grow your own, the seeds are there. You may want some junk food, but you may also want some organic vegitable produce or something inbetween. Supermarkets are double edges sowrds with everything inbetween, but to open your own/grow your own/source your own from the bulk suppliers, although possible, is astronomically more man hours of curation time.

But with all that said, the initial and I think leading point of the post was not the indivdual filtering, but rather, that they think a divide and conquer approach would be most effective against a Fediverse. Where one would want to prevent the expansion and adoption of a fediverse as a threat of info hoarding.

I'd be inclined to agree that as pack animals a NT person is going to want to group up in the largest instance. So, the larger the instance, the more likely they are going to want to join it. And should it get huge amounts of people, they'd get fomo.
If there are as many instances as there are subreddit equivalents, for want of the accurate name, people just wont bother that much, no?

How was quake 2 bland? It was grim, fast paced. Had hours of gameplay and some large maps. The multiplayer was pretty good too.

It was my first multiplayer game though, so i'm definately biased, but it did so much more with basic hardware back in the day. And the custom map auto downloading and servers were great.
A much better introduction to multiplayer gaming then some of the stuff today.

Someone just repeated the PR of a bamboo company :x

I mean I love my bamboo bedsheets/covers.pillowcases and I rave about them to anyone, always IRL, but they were SO SO expensive.

Please, please do not plant bamboo on your flat roof, dear lord, it would rip it to shreds.
Bamboo is so "sustainable" because it has a frickin out of control growth rate root system and invasiveness. yikes!

Pots only! until you see just how devastating it is first hand!

It's normal for those with ADHD. I found out I had adhd in my late 30s :>

It's that TheDude abides, man.

I have set a 0 minute timer on Boost and Infinity, so I can't navigate to reddit. On the first day of blackout I had to open reddit to try and find the name for lemmy, squabbles and raddle so I had some alternatives as I couldn't remember them!

I have opened and closed youtube way too many times. It's been tough. I even went to 4chan after many year last night. A real blast from the past.

Full relapse yesterday.

I'm hoping to do better today.

We so need a RedditsAnonymous!

-edit- I said on the first day I went to reddit... but it's only been one day!! wow. that's embarrassing lol

Wow, there are so many instances. One day there'll need to be some method of recording various biases within it.
I'm glad that's not my responsibility!

Battery is still going strong, but the body is weak and fell apart just after arriving back from St Lucia to the UK after my grandmother's funeral.

I cannot foresee any smart watch taking its place for such a long service.

How do you check this? And is it banned via the instance "sh.itjust.works" for example, or is it banned via the "subreddit" equivalent, for want of the accurate name?

I think it's because people nowadays are brought up to to ***follow ***what they read.

There is so much importance of memorising facts one is informed like a computer, then alongside this, are informed by media and abrihamic based religions repeatedly, that life is binary good and bad.

And as such, when an average reader attempts to criticise China, or Israel, UK or US present governmental practices for instance, they struggle to not generalise and lump government, people, race, and more all into one.

To educate massess of people into being able to criticise policy is a surefire way to get the masses to be critical of the practices of a present government, and get you out of power.

Binary identity politics however, will keep you there, in power, forever.

Thank you for posting that link, it was a good story.

Hardly dumb. Offer a free and open space you secretly have a back door into and let it get populated. This happens all the time. A recent example would be some crypto exchanges that were secure and anonymous that suddenly disappeared with all the accounts.

I'm sure you can think of other examples too!

-edit- At first I thought it was just satire, related to "communism" thing, more just anti Laissez-faire monopoly capitalism(yes I had to google how to spell that repeatedly!). But...wow, I'm the one that is nieve it seems!
