Unprecedented Linux Growth

Oof, you mean it's gone up as high as like an extra ten people?

Everyone who thinks Charlie has a point is free to bring it up with Zohran; Zohran has said he's spoken to former Trump voters to ask them what it would take to get them to vote for him and he listened to them. Other people are fearful they're going to be unable to afford their housing costs, are struggling to feed their families, and are worried about their healthcare concerns, and others still are also ignorantly concerned with Zohran's stance against Israel being an ethnostate, but please, go ahead and share your deep concerns that he eats with his hands to him; out of all the pressing issues people have to contend with, whether Zohran eats with his hands or cutlery is up there among the most pressing of them. In fact I'm sure it'll sound less stupid when you say it out loud to him than it does in your head or in writing.

I haven't really watched Dr Phil's stuff and have been basically only at best 'aware' of its existence, but it's so strange to me that someone who's supposed to be a therapist is against 'wokeness'. You literally have people who are victims of harassment who need your help, the very help you are supposed to be a specialist in providing, and your answer is 'I hate you'?

It's funny to imagine our descendants in whatever America becomes defending the empire by saying it wasn't America's fault it collapsed, it was Israel's; hopefully though one of the things they admit is it's also because of culture war idiocy and other arbitrary, fabricated social divisions; EDIT: Also the empire's insistence on capitalism and wasting the talents contained in around 350 million people; China capitalizing (haaaaa, see what I did there?) on their population with excellent access to really good education and health services has turned their one billion people into its most powerful asset, meanwhile in America humans are also an asset, but in the form of slavery (wage slavery and actual slavery).

Now admittedly I'm just a gamer, not a Gamer^TM^, but I personally don't have any interest in the different designs and such; do they look cool sometimes? Sure, but I spend very little time looking at my PC so it's entertaining for the first two hours, and then it's just a chassis. Also I really don't like those annoying LED lights and have to switch them off; I sleep in the same room as my PC and I don't want the lights on at night (I never switch off my PC cause like seriously, who does that?)

Would it serve a streamer more than it would the average person however? Most likely; fans will enjoy glancing at it from time to time, and it'll help add some interest to the average person just flicking through different gamer streams.

Aside from the blather about the flag representing freedom, still not as embarrassing as people literally apologizing to other Westerners (never anyone from the global South I noticed) for Trump winning

No you see they're just building them for the cameras, then they'll force people at gunpoint to live in them for the photo op and then they'll kick them out and leave them empty

It was.....nothing to Bragg about

I have like....at least three people in my immediate family who are like "So I.....uh.....went.....to.....uh.....the.....uh......repair......uh......shop......uh....."

I don't wear a watch, but I look at my wrist now to simulate looking at one

What do you mean? We're watching it happen in real time right now with people; vtubers learned to put on costumes of animals, insects or even mythical creatures to get weird internet losers to give them money to feed themselves.

You also have that giant cockroach that learned to put on a human skin called asmongold to get people to subscribe to its twitch channel.

His right wing bubble were happy to talk about their attraction to kids until Milo brought up his interest in young boys, then they all mentally turned into vulnerable little children themselves and canceled him out of fright

If only they could develop empathy and put their efforts to good use

But of course people like that think of empathy as a sin, or a weakness to be exploited

Okay, well I just opened up a random episode and saw (what hopefully was just a bad dub rather than the intended dialogue) a (virus?) get swallowed up by an antibody (that then dies) and one of the characters shows up and says "Never trust a stranger, outsiders are dangerous"; I understand the context but that's kind of...uhm....not great. Perhaps later they have a vaccine or antibiotic show up and revise their considerations? Cause that line is just.....not great.

The 'international community' is going to murder this man aren't they

"To the last Ukrainian" was supposed to be a rhetorical tool (against this kind of thing), not advice.

Do these kids understand their legs are going to be used as mine detectors? Does the Ukrainian government really think Russia will run out of kamikaze drones before Ukraine runs out of children?

So let me get this straight:

There's a powerful nation coming towards Earth to wipe us all out before we get advanced enough to protect ourselves because they both want what we have and don't want to give us the opportunity to build up, and they also have people here among us who despise the current people in charge and think the foreign invaders will be better for us all.

Additionally even as we live under threat of oncoming invasion, people still want to believe "surely they're not as bad as we think they are; look how advanced they are!"

The only thing that also turns them away finally? We create a mutually assured destruction weapon, and this is what finally stop the invasion and makes the invader behave themselves; meanwhile, people here on Earth are actually really getting into the cultural works of the people who want to invade us; we listen to their music, read their philosophers, watch their movies, etc., and we believe that coexistence with the vastly more powerful foreign nation is entirely possible and things must absolutely be different now, surely.

Of course the most powerful, 'needs to be ready to push the button' person on the planet is now becoming more trusting of this former foe nation and thinks perhaps there really is middle ground between them and doesn't truly want to even be in the position where they'd have to fight back against them, and in that moment of indecisiveness, in that moment of weakness, the foe nation already had the means of our destruction at our doorstep, waiting for a weak 'leader', and starts the war to annihilate us.

Watching this it definitely felt like a dig at American soft power and how the only thing that stops us from invading places like the DPRK are deterrents or MAD weapons, and also how we like to build up treasonous groups who oppose their own countries thinking we're going to be in it for their sakes.

The player base for this game really does mostly suck doesn't it; good to know at least Paradox isn't chuddy at least.

Only democracy in the Middle East^tm^

Most moral army^tm^

Old discussion from 2017: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/7/1471967615868031324/

This discussion sits rent free in my head; I keep remembering this from time to time because it's just nastiness for nothing. There's nothing to be gained from preventing Cuban players from playing steam games and yet you have someone hoping they can't access it; why? No idea.

The absolute nastiness people have for random strangers who've never done them harm nor wished them harm is beyond me. Just a reminder but Cuba offered to help during the events of hurricane Katrina, which predates this nastiness by over a decade.

America needs to be shut off from the world by being placed within a giant indestructible dome.

Literally like clockwork

I basically read what everyone here is quick to say to laugh at him at having gone from emperor to broomsweep, but apparently he was actually an example of an excellent success at bringing him down to earth with his fellow countrymen. No one here ever mentions this aspect; I only discovered this when I got curious and looked up his wikipedia page.

I'm sure we have some real bangers coming up that'll trounce this one, but it's at least the worst take of the month.

Real life cyberpunk was never going to be the flashy or cool stuff we created in fiction, just losers exercising their political power to be oppressive losers.

EDIT: Also they're being told to self-deport because otherwise the government will do it.

Mia Schem was the former detainee who said Hamasremovedd her with their eyes and said there are no innocent civilians in Gaza.

No one deservesremoved whatsoever, period, and I hope the authorities go after the man who did it.

Israel, in addition to its horrific host of crimes, also has a serious issue with giving sex offenders safe harbor:

Honestly I would've thought someone as high profile as she's become would be immune to something like this, but apparently not.

France 24 article about it (I don't think they mention the execution):

Honestly no idea if the three men were guilty or just had the blame pinned on them.
