Americans can afford 1 or 2 American products, but 30 American products? Out of the question.

Right? What else is left? The red police state just grows stronger.

This was literally my first thought. You'd basically have to go through every one of the millions of components across every square inch to verify there was nothing sketchy going on. Not to mention, you'd have to review all of the software and firmware to make sure it wasn't modified or sabotaged in some way. It would take an excruciating amount of effort to make it "safe".

When I see these technologies, I just think about how they would probably be uneconomic in cold environments on account of frost wedging. They would crumble much faster than regular cement and pavement, I'd suppose

I think Trump has Trump Derangement Syndrome

I don't really care what you think, tbh

Tbh, this is totally reasonable. I'm confident that a 1500 dollar mattress would be better than my 400 dollar mattress. And its not even a crazy price for a nice piece of "furniture". But there are mattresses that cost 5, 8, even 10k+ out there. Its wild

And here you are with legit injuries, content with a 1500 dollar one. Pretty sure anything past like 1 or 2k is a scam lol

Good riddance

Tbh, I'm always smoking the house up to get the right crisp on my chicken. I might be using the wrong oil, and I know I'm probably not the only one lol

Yeah, I've spent my entire adult life sleeping on sub-400 dollar memory foam mattresses from Ikea et al. and I've never noticed any weird back or neck issues that couldn't be solved by making sure my pillow was at the proper thickness/position.

What am I missing out on? I think people just like to blow money, or maybe they could use some exercise to correct non-sleep related musculoskeletal issues. I have been considering upgrading tho. I dunno man

Happy to hear stories if anyone gots any

Doing this at least once or twice a year is sure to maximize the life expectancy of your refrigeration appliances.

I've found myself looking for a really good can opener. I purchased my last one, a KitchenAid, from Target and I've been disappointed in it the whole time. Sometimes it doesn't puncture the lid right, and it feels like it got rusty kinda fast--not at all what I want out of a utensil I hoped would last for a decade or more (who wants to keep buying can openers? lol).

I'm looking for a manual handheld can opener. I've always had the type that opens from the top, but a little bit of Googling shows that there are types that open from the side. I'm in the USA if that matters!

What does Lemmy think?
