MinimalGPT - A Side Project

I wrote MinimalGPT in about a weekend as a minimal chat client where everything is stored client side (chat messages aside obviously).
Entire conversations are stored local to your browser instead of a database etc…
Supports both GPT3.5 and GPT4 as well as basic DALL-E image generation. Possibly Bard integration in the future if anyone actually wants it.

It’s nothing crazy, but for a simple chat client without any BS it is nice.
You have to provide your own API key but they hand them out like candy so have a blast!
Edit - Pushed out a small update that adds a toggle for auto saving new conversations. If disabled new conversations are only saved (locally) when you press the save icon.
After a conversation has been saved it is automatically updated/saved every time you send a message from there on out.
While PWA sites are nice I’ve never personally used one that felt as good or as consistent as a native application.
As much as my web dev heart would love to say they were haha.
If Red Bull were in a tight battle with the constructors Checo would easily cost them the title.
I feel like he’s actually been getting a pass because its not been a tight battle between Red Bull and someone else.
Only recently when he went from mediocre to absolutely abysmal did people start to really notice. Because how could you not.
“I should have a PR up today sometime”…repeats that phrase in the morning huddle 4 days in a row.
This will be interesting if Danny can’t outperform Tsunoda. I really like Danny but I think people are going to be a bit surprised. Again.
By all accounts the AT is a disaster to drive and Danny already had a really bad time in a better McLaren.
I assume the idea is to give people an easy and nice looking default mobile experience for lemmy users without users having to go find things like wefwef/voyager themselves.
That isn’t a thing, I dislike Reddit as well but we shouldn’t start making false statements about them.

I’m pretty sure the last I read about this it was an absurd concentration that showed to potentially cause cancer. Nothing a human could drink in such concentrations.
That being said maybe that’s changed very very recently, I’ll be interested to see what their actual findings are.
A lot of things potentially cause cancer in huge concentrations.
Edit - From what I’ve read aspartame would be considered a possible carcinogen in the same class of Coffee. That doesn’t make quite the same headline though hah!
Over 1200 track limit violations throughout the race is hilarious and absurd.
Excited to see McLaren look to have taken a very solid step forward as well!

I actually wrote MinimalGPT as a project for myself because I found using ChatGPT annoying for certain things.
It’s just a minimal chat client where you provide an OpenAI API key for GPT and you’re off to the races.
Conversations and all data (besides the messages you send to OpenAI) are stored locally to your browser.
https://minimalgpt.app, it’s also a PWA application so you can save it to your mobile Home Screen for a full app experience.
