https://www.pbs.org/video/we-saw-what-ai-data-centers-dont-want-you-to-see-n1ewcf/ This type of journalism is telling the truth & proving it; so now we know that "Data centers must bring their own power source" is not a good thing either, nor is taxing the grid. Sneaky power applications that claim less power & then expand; fossil fuels the BIGGEST energy source and demand for more materials to build this way - this story is revealing, and there wasn't any Chinese budget involved.

I like the topic! Your recipe is simple and very nutritious! Anything special about that rice?

I have been working on whole-meal recipes that freeze well, wanting to reduce old foods in the frig and freezer - and it worked! Most or all meals use an instant pot because of convenience and less cleanup. Oh, and I did invest in an extra instant pot liner, the metal basket, and a few cook cookbooks. If anyone is interested, I can share more in a post. I will say that rice doesn't freeze as long as the 4-month (+) recipes I do, so I cook that up later. Rice and breads have only about a month in the freezer. Still faster than looking around to see what dinner I should make today!

They left out: Say no to AI data centers! AI is lucrative, so more servers in each center will be GPU chips. These run hotter, which takes cooling, usually water or a combo with chemicals and fans. The new centers are hyperscale, much larger, and also run hotter due to GPU. This is the time to call legislators to back the moratorium, I hear that just one more sponsor would start the pause! I hope this is correct. Also it's important to become informed & to attend local meetings. Probably some can attend the protests, too. Some grassroots ones have been held but a better organized one happens July 18.

PS AI data centers run hotter, and need more cooling, than others. Newer ones are also much bigger.

Meanwhile this is happening. Data centers are water hogs. Desalination is very costly by the way, and will greatly raise the price of water. I think the main recourse is to call legislators and get more support for the Moratorium bill, because there is actually some sponsor support among GOPS too, and I hear that one more sponsor (?)would be enough for an immediate pause. https://datacenterpost.com/duos-edge-ai-expands-south-texas-footprint-with-corpus-christi-edge-data-center-deployment/
