Don't want to get ahead of myself but Japan is one of the three/four major strategic pieces of US Pacific control, so it's good to see cracks forming.

And of those, it's such a huge piece that if the US could no longer control it (Japan), then the entire US strategy is basically undone and holding other places is kind of pointless.

Sovereignty is when you are couped by the US and Nazis. The more you are a pawn of the US and the more Nazis you have the more sovereign you are.

Thehill can eat shit. Their entire shtick was to corral Bernie supporters into a dead end so they wouldn't actually radicalize.

Looking for English texts that analyze ancient Chinese societal organization or mode of production. Preferably Marxist but materialist in general will do, or non-marxist but respected. Also specifically interested in Han dynasty stuff or about Cao Cao but this is probably narrowing too much.

Anyways, help appreciated.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200

How many wars has China gotten into since the end of its civil war? How many places has the US invaded since then?

Opinions formed from reading reddit posts will not work here.

Grad school in China (lemmygrad.ml)

Hey comrades. I've been thinking of going back to school for a while now, and one of the things that just hit me is checking out the feasibility of going to a Chinese university. It's a lot closer to my home as well. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look for English language masters programs, Id be thankful. Just exploratory for now but if there is a real opportunity in a field I like I would jump at it.

Waah BRICS waah Putin waah mafia waah democracy

They genuinely believe their own propaganda. This is actually a good thing because it means the western ruling class and the not-very-intelligentsia is becoming increasingly stupid. Simply having a superior ideology, one that is based in materialism, is such a massive advantage for socialists in the long run.

You can't have people like that dude running your countries and expect to outsmart China 🤣

In this post: what you get when your brain attempts to synthesize the concept of socialism on top of its liberalism instead of trying to discard everything you know first (liberalism) and learning again from zero to grasp Marxism.

It was always going to end with those losers setting up shop. But hey it's great to see that MLs are making great strides in geopolitics for humanity, and all the bootlickers from reddit can do is troll on lemmy.

They genuinely think flooding lemmy is going to help stop the multipolar world. Think about that for a second - how stupid you have to be and how desperate you have to be to resort to that. So framed in this way, we know that they will go the way of history and that progress marches on, ignoring their tears.

Question is in the title. Where can I find information about gay and trans rights in the Soviet Union? Or if anyone would be able to share what they know. I understand it was decriminalized in 1917, but that's about it.

I suppose sources about modern China and LGBTQ would be nice as well, post revolution and current.

Very hard to find trustworthy sources.
