Yeah I bet you are.

That was such an awesome show. Chicken Lady still freaks me out.

No I agree with the logistics of it. I meant to say the manufacturing and agricultural capacity we already have seems like more than enough.

I keep wondering if we have reached or are on the cusp of a post-scarcity society.

This was taken while diving in the Similan Islands, Thailand. I was diving on the liveaboard M/V Pawara.

Thanks, I have never heard of this one. I will check it out. At least it's available in my area.

I have given up on any water based products. Maybe it's the climate here, I am not too far North of you (you mentioned Vermont) We use the best red cedar we can find and I guess that's part of the issue because nothing sticks to it.

Its certainly a very common theme. Can't lose with pyramid treasure hunts.

Galaga, it was kind of a fancy Space Invaders.

Sometimes it better to just keep the memory.

I'm a renovation contractor that builds a lot of decks and I've been having the worst results trying to find a product to seal/stain cedar. It turns grey quite fast so most clients want it sealed and or stained. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is.

Yes, someone else suggested that, I think it was. I just remember it being way better than it looks today. Cutting edge in the 80's.

Is there a community on Lemmy that can help finding a game I played years ago.

The year was 1984 or 1985, last year of High School. The computer was an Apple 2e The game was a Raiders rip off with a guy in a fedora looking for treasure. It was monochrome green. I remember you had to place dynamite and run to blow through walls to get deeper inside a pyramid. It was loaded on 5 1/4" floppy disks. I guess it would need an emulator to play now.

The biggest eel I have ever seen living on a shipwreck near Grand Baie, Mauritius. I have video of it just two weeks later with the throat cut open.

My dive buddy on one of the many wrecks around Grand Baie, Mauritius.

I took this photo a few years ago while diving near Phi Phi Island, Thailand. At the time I was using a Nikon Coolpix L26 with an Ikelite housing and no strobe. I was on my first dive trip with a camera and really happy to see this beauty.

I was really lucky to get this photo of a barracuda taking a dump during a safety stop. You can actually see the fish head bones. It must not be fun to pass those. Taken in Grand Baie, Mauritius February 2025

This octopus was out and about during the day. Always fun to see them fully out of the holes they hide in. Grande Baie, Mauritius February 2025

Titan triggerfish near Grande Baie, Mauritius. These fish scare the crap out of me. I was once chased by one protecting it's eggs.

Removing ghost nets caught on reefs near Negombo, Sri Lanka. A day of bad visibility made worse when moving the nets. Sri Lanka January 2025
