My best guess it that they see it as a way of making the Israelis waste interceptor missiles and keep Israeli civilians in shelters. If I was in the Iran position, I'd wait till the Israelis have as few missile defences as possible before using my best weapons on military targets.

Can't say I'm surprised. Those missiles aren't cheap. Even with all the Israelis strikes, I'd doubt they have that close to enough ammo to stop everything Iran can throw at them.

I find it really hard to see this all play out and be powerless to stop it. That said, having other users on this site help me sift through all the bullshit and trying to be informed on it as possible has helped me a lot.
