It really proves that Reddit is one of the most astroturfed site on the internet.

I made a donation. Probably won't watch the stream, but anything I'm happy to donate something for Gaza's reconstruction.

Roko's basilisk is a thought experiment which states that an otherwise benevolent artificial superintelligence (AI) in the future would be incentivized to create a virtual reality simulation to torture anyone who knew of its potential existence but did not directly contribute to its advancement or development, in order to incentivize said advancement.

Damn, that the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. Most of the AI discourse I've heard from techbros is baseless conjecture, but the "rational" speculation that an AI would create a torture matrix to force everyone to make it smarter has to be the silliest. I think it says more about the misanthropy of these nerds than anything related to computer science.

Each of those flags may as well be Nazi flags. They all collaborated with them.

Having a job at a canning factory would mean he leaves his house far more often than Asmongold does.

I think it's pretty safe to say the Israelis lost. But I feel it came at such a huge cost to the resistance in general, even calling it a pyrrhic victory is a stretch.

Oddly enough, I've been playing it too, and I thought it was about right. I even felt it that a nice change from padded out games. I suppose every has a different idea of too long.

Threatening all your allies with pointless wars is definitely something stable countries do. It's surely not a sign of a declining power desperately cannibalising its allies so it can last a few more decades.

I started playing AC6 about a week ago. I laughed out loud when these fuckers turned up.

I guess it has been a hectic few weeks, we were bound to miss things.

The Americans and Europeans are just too ideologically stuck in neoliberalism to reindustrialise. China's already out paced the in most manufacturing, and they see to be catching up with the more high-tech stuff like microchips as well. The only thing the US seem to be able to do about is sabre rattle and eat their allies.

That said, I do find it darkly funny that Europe's economy is getting cannibalised to keep the US afloat, the Euros spent the last 2 centuries doing that to the rest of the world.
