Non-american here, can you give a rundown of what that CAFE act was about?

No doubt with lines like "They only hate Israel because of their religion" and "The IDF is protecting me, despite being Palestinian"

One day I'll do a exploit-free playthru of Morrowind. But it's not this day...

After Nintendo saw how much the Wii succeeded while effectively being a gamecube with motion controls and a DVD drive vs. two "top tier titans", they never bothered again with being at the forefront of tech, which possibly felt like a homecoming, considering the Famicom was kinda underpowered at release, but cheap to produce.

A PS2 with FreeMCBoot is always a great option. If you can get a phat model and stick a HDD there, you're golden

You can also jailbreak it, depending on the firmware version

According to this chart, yes, the PS5 is leading by roughly 40 million units compared to the current XSX

I guess the C in DNC stands for Corporation. The corporation doesn't like when underlings call them out on their bullshit

Certainly one of the reasons, but I don't think it's the primary one. 'Murica having so many places with a culture that can be summed up as "extremely individualistic and patriotic xenophobes" is what I'd blame first.

'Member when you bought a magazine and got a FREE floppy or CD with a bunch of (shareware/demo) games? I played the same 2 demo maps of Age of Empires to death - the game had 3, but the 3rd one was too hard for youngster me.

I suspect bribery was just "gift exchanging" back in those days

Alt-text:
I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.

Like... if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you're a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.

The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.

| just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success... I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.

Title, mainly aimed at a Blackberry 9800

I once had the Japanese version of Digimon world 2 for the PS1 and I remember it having a separate game mode that, by default, would put you in an arena with Metal Greymon vs Were Garurumon. For whatever reason, the fight played fully automatically, no input needed, but if you messed around with buttons, you could sometimes change the attack of M.Greymon to the breast missile. After the fight was over, you'd be thrown back at the main menu.

I've never seen anyone comment on it and even searching right now doesn't show any results. So, does anyone know what it was supposed to be and how to "properly play" it? Cutting room floor only mentions that western releases completely removed all compatibility with the Japanese gadgets and graphics related to that

Samsung and Xiaomi apps on their factory defaults are mostly fine, update them once and suddenly you have ads flashing after every 2 interactions with your phone

>cousin is distraught "why not!?"
>aunt says "because girls can't marry other girls"
>cousin is angry "who says?"
>aunt "god says"
>cousin "then I'm going to worship satan"

Pics https://ibb.co/album/sbjqwT (the weird triangle on the lower piece was fixed afterwards)

I've been messing around with a press mold so I can make hex tiles using paper mache, or something else that is easily and cheaply available.

The problem I've been having is with the sides, which rarely get properly pressed. What should I do to possibly fix this, regarding the model?

Right now, I've only experimented with minced paper and water, which led to satisfying results. What other things could I add or try for this kind of press? What could I apply on the mold to make the paper less likely to stick? Vaseline doesn't make a difference.
