Not a knitter (yet) and I just lurk here so don't put any weight on my opinion. I'm sharing my thoughts on the bot in general.

Personally I like the idea on paper. More exposure, more interaction, more anything. I love that. The bot reply won't be anything different than reminders to follow the rules on That Other Site.

My problem is mostly with the way Mastodon displays Lemmy content and I hope I'm wrong with this. I follow a couple of communities. I have a hard time even opening Lemmy links - could be an issue with Jerboa, Android or anywhere along the line. I usually notice a Lemmy post on Mastodon by people commenting on it and the community "boosting" the comments. If it works by adding hashtags to the post that might make it really good for discussion-based posts or commenting on general. Would it share the images as well? I don't know how exactly the bot works and the fediverse is still a bit murky to me on some topics.

Other than my little nitpicks I'm all for it. Overall it seems like a good addition.

Been there. Once I overwrote my SAL progress. I had to fill in everything from scratch. Good thing I did it at the start of the new page so I could just fill in all of the previous one.

That taught me how to easily fill large areas in PK... and to backup

Funny that you mention the two old magnets. My minder is a DIY from craft store magnets that are probably as good as your old ones. But that murderous cat brings me so much joy I had to make it. It works just barely but totally worth it.

a blurry grainy photo of a pigeon in a cage

Meet Domino. Disappointing pic but that's the best my partner could take at twilight with an almost dead phone. I think it really likes my old pullover that I was intending on throwing away. Its wing is bruised/hurt and the leg is broken. Vet said it's not going to make it in the wild with that leg but it might fly again. He said the best I could do is adopt it. The poor thing probably won't fly outside without a leash and supervision though.

As much as I love cats, I hate it when owners let their cats roam outside. They prey on birds for sport, not for food. I know exactly whose cat did it, that's why I'm salty. It's not the first time he's done that. Also I have a cat at home which might make things interesting. So far he's shown curiosity but not predator behaviour as he does with other birds. Not going to risk it though!

Cross stitch WIP of an alpaca

It's starting to take shape. You can already see something resembling legs. This week has been hectic and I haven't had the chance to stitch much. I've been working on my backyard birding setup and that also took some of my free time. We also rescued a pigeon. I'll probably stitch while keeping it company so progress might come faster.

That needle minder is hell on earth! Really fits the vampire theme.

Lately I find myself listening to The Ocean Collective, Mors Principium est, Be'lakor, Soilwork, Between the Buried and Me. Generally more melodic and progressive stuff. Sometimes I put on metalcore which can also be a banger like Monuments (saw them live earlier this year, they were amazing), Periphery, Bleed From Within.

I know some purists would jump on my classification but it's hard for me to put labels on music these days with bands having a much more unique style, rather than fixing themselves into a specific genre.

Death metal. Death metal while birding (or more like processing footage). Death metal while cross stitching. Death metal while crocheting. It's a weird outlet that I mostly keep to myself.

Goblin Hexblood. I know, hexblood is a race too but those were the first two words I saw and I can't stop imagining a goblin hag.

I use streaming services these days but my next phone will definitely still have a 3.5mm. I'm not an audiophile but my 10€ Phillips wired earbuds audio quality would be matched by bluetooths at 5-10x of their pricetag. The wireless buds I have are only 4 imes as expensive as the wired and audio quality is worse, they often lose signal and they tend to fall out of my ear regardless of which rubber plug I use.

Vegan for 7 months now. Not planning on ever going back. My staple breakfast is hummus toast or overnight oats with whatever fruit I get plus peanut butter and banana or carob molasses for sweetness.

Often we cook different curries at home. Oven baked vegetables like Brussels sprouts, broccoli, potatoes (sweet or otherwise) with spices also work really well. I don't make it that often but misir wat (Ethiopian lentil stew) is out of this world, you can easily make it vegan. Legume stews are on the menu at all times, and soy sauce peanut butter pasta is a guilty pleasure.

What if I sell my milk to a body builder just so I have a little pocket money?

As long as you're doing it of your own free will without taking it away from your child, yes, probably. There is consent involved.

But if your breast milk gets mixed into a batch that was produced from selected specimens who produce extraordinarily high volume of milk, impregnated with their babies taken away, tied to machines and milked in filthy conditions, kept alive by being fed antibiotics every day.... Yeah you get me.
