My boss calls Ford: Found on roadside dead

I just watched it, solely from your comment.

I really enjoyed that movie! Thank you.

Isn’t this quite literally treason?

How is this the sentencing recommended?

[-] Kmcb182@lemmy.world 19 points 10 months ago

Well that escalated quickly.

Technically you don’t find out that the demon king at the beginning and ganondorf are one in the same until some time later… but it’s not really a surprise if you’ve played any other games in the series.

I would recommend looking into Turkish coffee methods.

The bioluminescence of the water caused my AC discharge water to glow at my slip last night.

That’s a first for me.

Could also watch the glowing outline of fish swimming!

It was a great day to be in the marina.

There was so much energy in the storm after it passed last night.

My best advice would be to get adept at the maintenance side of things. Sailboats live in harsh environments and will almost always have something breaking on you. Learn basic electrical systems, engine maintenance and line/sail maintenance.

You can do all of this before having a boat just watching YouTube and working on electrical in your house, your car/transport engine and buying some cheap off cuts of canvas and rope.

The better you are at fixing things, the better off you’ll be at living in your off grid paradise.

We are choosing between a RU (Roll-Up) and RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) style dinghy.

We predominantly coastal cruise with our dog and two adults only.

Our SV is a 37.5 Hunter Legend, that has a good davit system and an outboard motor mount.

I would prefer an RU so that my transom can remain open and available, but know that a RIB is more sturdy, roomy and better for any rough conditions.

Any thoughts or advice?

Got to see a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral from our marina the other day.

One can hope.

Right now, I love the size and the community feel. It’s as if we are all trying to make this place our home, so we are all figuring it out together, posting often and engaging. I know it won’t last forever, but I’m enjoying it while it is lasting.

Keys Trip Advice (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago by Kmcb182@lemmy.world to c/sailing@lemmy.world

We are planning a trip down to the keys from north Florida. Route is planned to stay inside until Fort Lauderdale and then outside to 7 mile bridge, where we will likely turn and drop anchor in the back country.

We are aiming to do this starting this week to mid July, basically before hurricane season really takes off, but will of course keep a close eye on the weather and reports.

Any advice, things to see, best routes or marinas to avoid?

Agreed, the increased ads, detriment to user experience and general toxicity was becoming unbearable. I am very thankful to have found a new home.

Absolutely!

Regarding the mod thing, I have zero experience as well.

As soon as I can figure out how, I’d be happy to have another mod.

In the meantime, if you have any willingness, what we need right now is content, such that others will keep joining and stay active.

In the exodus, if others are like me, I thought a sailing community would be great!
