Agreed!
And of course, as with everything, there is always stuff to improve. My comment was to just to add to yours - i still agree that on daily use the popup is annoying. Thankfully it's not privacy invasive!

I agree its annoying, but just to add: AFAIK by default it doesn't use the google "Control access point inclusion" (which uses internet to enhance the location accuracy) so even with location on, by default its quite private. Only uses your internal GPS receiver and doesn't share this info outside the app.
But yeah it is indeed a bit annoying that it nags about the location everytime you open the app.
Edit: added words.
Shit, only half an hour to go before the lockdown. I don't wanna put delivery people through this hell - guess I'll starve :(
I wouldn't say no one who isn't running linux isn't going to see this:
I know that I switched over to linux because of the sheer amount of advocacy and info posts for beginners on lemmy. I used to only use linux servers at work, but lemmy convinced / helped me to switch fully to linux! :)
Edit: just to clarify: I mean this post will get shared around on spaces with noobs like me, even if its on peertube and im not "on it"
I haven't delved deep into the problem but yeah, also wouldn't surprise me if it's about win11 specifically.
I have heard this many times! Don't get discouraged, it's a hard language and the fact that you got an authentic experience will just boost your learning!
Which does actually display correctly on Voyager App atleast (can confirm).
Marking August 7th to my calendar. Stupid greedy Oracle should've let JS trademark go long time ago.
Glad to it's been working fine on win10!
I have encountered the same issues as above on multiple different devices running win11 and that's why I wanted to make a heads-up.
Two separate linux installations, in the otherhand, had no issues at all running libreoffice.
Just a headsup incase you try it on windows 11 before you do on linux:
LibreOffice, out of the box, is slow and buggy sometimes on windows 11 and the user interface doesn't look as smooth as on linux. You might have to tweak some graphics settings to bearable.
LibreOffice looks and works significantly better on Linux.
