New post: Many migrants know this question: “Why did you come to Germany?” I write about why it’s rarely as innocent as it sounds. We often talk about migration as if it were just a personal decision — ignoring wars, repression, the arms trade, and Europe’s part in all of it. I try to unpack what it means to be asked such a personal question in that larger context.

New Post: What happens when a majority group responds to systemic struggle with the word "too"? This post explores the idea of "derailing"—how universalising experiences can inadvertently silence the specific realities of immigrants in Germany.

The criticism is mostly valid, but the news source is not. It’s no coincidence that they didn't mention Rowling’s TERF controversy.

Wrote this series first of all to vent about it, but also to preserve a trace of what was said and how it was answered. End of the #HamidStory series: from classroom → publisher ("Textbooks aren’t sociological analyses") → school ("We’ll forward this" / "do it yourself") → Outcome: responsibility dissolved.

Moeller's videos looks brilliant. I'll watch them again. Thanks for sharing

Exactly! Actually in the first draft of the email, there was such a part: how the arm industry of germany "helped" me to move to Germany.

Although it is sad that you find it boring and common thanks to you, I learnt a new idiom. Cooking cutter: "(idiomatic) , (often disparaging) Looking or seeming identical; created by some standard or common means; often with the implication that the result is common, boring, or not applicable to all needs." from Wiktionary,

So first of all I am a newbie on FOSS/Privacy/security issues therefore it's better to double check but as far as I understand github Jira integrations as well as offline/selfhosting are optional so you are free to chose. I am snycing my tasks within the app via a nextcloud server. And it works well for me
