The idea in this post is to share the software tools I use for my research, which I hope will be helpful for others, especially those without money or enough resources. #researchtools #lowbudgetresearch #poorresearchers #freesoftware #opensource #writing #dataanalysis #research

Interesting, might want to make a cookie cutter research toolset

Although it is sad that you find it boring and common thanks to you, I learnt a new idiom. Cooking cutter: "(idiomatic) , (often disparaging) Looking or seeming identical; created by some standard or common means; often with the implication that the result is common, boring, or not applicable to all needs." from Wiktionary,

How is "super productivity"? Is it any good? It looks cool but having no server sounds bad since working in a team can be fun.

It has a gitHub & Jira Integration

Import issues and sync your work across GitHub, GitLab, and Jira automatically.

And is 100% Offline & Private

Your data never leaves your device. Zero tracking, zero accounts, maximum privacy.

That sounds weird. That sounds mutually exclusive to me.

So first of all I am a newbie on FOSS/Privacy/security issues therefore it's better to double check but as far as I understand github Jira integrations as well as offline/selfhosting are optional so you are free to chose. I am snycing my tasks within the app via a nextcloud server. And it works well for me

Oh! If it supports caldav. That's a nobrainer! Thanks! I'll check it out.

It CAN work offline. It's no must 🤩

I use jtxboard on android for caldav, it also has kanban boards, fyi

I just got around to look at it and my first step was to checkout nextcloud integration.

To me, it's unfortunate that it does not use nextclouds caldav but it uses webdsv to store the data in a folder. That makes it incompatible to all my other apps using caldav
