Most people commenting here don't have kids. Private schools are so prolofic because the majority of public schools are so defunded and sad looking that there is a native demand for schools with... non-below average facilities which families are willing to pay for.

This country doesn't spend enough on education and instead is letting its citizens fund the education sector out of their own pockets. It's kinda criminal.

So instead of blanket banning private schools we should be funding public ones to the level that makes most private schools redundant.

I think they should still sell them but they should be $40 per sanger and have "best of walmart" type warning images stapled onto the plain paper bag.

School will never need to run another fundraiser ever again

My personal experience is that Novated Leases are not financially competitive compared to a car loan and buying outright. Especially at the lower end of car cost scale like you are.

The GST savings are minimal/non existent, the tax savings are minimal, the maintenance and admin costs are inflated and of course that damned balloon. You'll end up paying way more than you should for the car with the added pain of a direct reduced income.

There needs to be cycling roads that are just for cycling, not just painted green strips on existing roads. Big ask but it's what we need for the majority of persons to use bikes as an actual mode of transportation.

The saga continues...

For the benefit of the community the market needs to stay.

Realistically any development on the site will kill the traders whilst construction is underway

While the heritage overlay protects the sheds it doesn't really protect the market operation. It was a clumsy tool to win votes and makes development plans a further nightmare.

The owners of the site want their payday but have ultimately made a poorly planned investment.

Unlikely to happen but the state needs to step in and turn this into a state project in order to get an outcome that satisfies all parties.

Maybe my palate has changed but I find all of the current Arnotts biccies are pale imitations of their former selves.

Burn me baby, feed me back in the recycler of Mother Earth

Even that's a waste of resources really. The planet doesn't need me as CO2. Just chuck me in a giant craypot and let me be crab food.

My first trip to Europe I experienced shock at the cultural aparthied I witnessed in big cities. It felt worse than what I'd seen in Anglo multicultural countries (US/UK/AU/NZ) which is not to say it doesn't happen there but I could taste the racial tension in the air in EU

I was bitterly disappointed that this video game did not show up as the top result and indeed at all when searched it alongside this quote then stupid me realised it wasn't from Starcraft😅

I'm no expert but I think there are reasonably strict laws around pricing advertising, especially for dining. If there weren't, despite looking ridiculous on a menu, just about every business would be like "hey buy my bagel! It was $25 now it's only $12.50". It's misleading advertising.
