I once decided to give all my players a single minor magical item at lvl 1 just to help their characters settle into their roles.

  • The Ranger got a quiver of elven kind (guaranteed 20 non-magical arrows per day)

  • The wizard got an indestructible spellbook (no need to worry about losing spells)

  • The monk/rogue a cloak that made it easier to conceal his identity

  • And the hobbit-like bard... a dagger of warning.

I thought they'd appreciate the LotR nod. Except I made a campaign of intrigue, where the baddies were hiding in plain sight. I dreaded that damn dagger. Somehow, through sheer luck, the bard immediately forgot about it after their first encounter. It never came up again.

Advertisers don't like it, and they make up a big part of Reddit's income.

Shit, so I'm stuck seeing dozens of posts a day that just repeat the word "rule" then?

There is a great ~20 year old song where I'm from called Plus Rien. (Translates to Nothing Left)

Maybe not in the next hundred years, but the way things are going.. this song proves more accurate every time I listen to it.

Tbh it's not a bad game... People just like to complain. Especially about D&D. Everyone has their own specific (and houseruled) idea of what D&D is or should be, and as a result no version is ever good enough.

5e has plenty of good content you can have plenty of fun with.

Probably a t-shirt design for/from an LGBT person bragging about being a demon in the sack.

Exactly. Verstappen didn't leave Ricciardo in the dust when they were teammates. Admittedly, Verstappen had not yet reached his prime, but I'm still certain Ricciardo would do well in the second car.

I'm in a similar situation. r/rpg was one of my favorite haunts.

I'm on a bunch of rpg discord. But that platform isn't really my cup of tea.

Currently trying out the RPG Pub forum.

The position gained would have made a difference if the team got the penalty repealed after the race. Pushing anyway was the correct course of action, just in case.
