It's less about it being open source for the fascists imo it's more that like, you can't be kicked out of the fascist site for being too fascist.

well alot of the appeal of sites like this is the decentralized nature which is popular among privacy/open source nerds. You know the linux user types. lemmy is supposed to just be open-source decentralized reddit derivative. Rather or not it's pointless really depends on the instance (privacy/closed source concerns not withstanding). There's also the flipside where ther'es people who are too fascist for reddit to stomach them. Historically though those people have mostly made thier own websites, like r/femaledatingadvice (though they weren't techincally banned i think they left out of fear being banned though) and r/incel or just died/got absorbed into less extremist out. When you have a site who's main purpose is to be a place for people who are dissatisifed with reddit for various reasons. It tends to be similiar to reddit. lemmygrad/hexbear isn't evne that dissimiliar to socialist subreddits. Though with deprogram has done heavy damage to that ecosystem. I'm not sure what you are expecting it's like expecting revolt userbase to be radically different from discord userbase. At the end of the day it's an open source decentralized version of reddit it's not going to be radically differetn from reddit.

aren't some of the lemmy devs commies? also i'm pretty sure due to the decentralized open source nature the power of the developers is minimal. Not an expert though by any means

I really don't think reddit nuking a tons of very useful tools and 3rd party frontends is that petty of a reason. It's not the most morally grand reason but it's not that petty. I mean making the expxeirnece of using a product far worse especially if you are a moderator or use third party mobile frontends is definitely a reasonable reason to not want to use reddit anymore.

my guy is definitely gender neutral in this instance. If you don't like it and feel uncomfortable with it that's fine but it's definitely a gender neutral term the way i'm using it.

Also genuien advice, if you don't want people using masc language youshould have a username without a masc name and not have any pronouns in your bio

I was thinking of the wrong defintion of electoralism.

to be clear i'm talking about to the general public. The use of the term social fascism is to make a point about hwo social democracy and fascism can have a sort of symbiosis it removes any point beyond a sort of gotcha to use it towards uneducated people, because they aren't goingt o understand the context behind the term and it's usage because they are not there yet. You have to lead them to better understanding, and using a term like social fascism before someone fully understandas the concepts behind it will likely cause hestiation or reluctance. An important part of the process is gradual elevation of class consciousness. Basically, telling the average person that socail democracy is social fascism is shooting yourself in the foot if your goal is to educate them further.

everyone i talk to is already woke (in the original sense of the word) to some degree. Since i'm not really able to shut up about it, as i have severe autism and basically can't. People tend to either agree to some extent or not want to interact with me. Honestly though if you are using a term like social fascism in the prescense of the general public and outside of a theory specific context you are just ignorant of revolutionary theory. Building class consciousness needs to be a gradual process. Though, I guess in general being against electoralism is also ignoring revolutionary theory anyway so.. Electoralism as far as i know has been pretty consistnetly been seen as a good way to build a base of support for a socialist movement to get the ball rolling.
