I think all this news about people seeming arbitrarily being detained by ICE is already making people want to steer way clear of anything US right now.

Likely something to do with English being a secondary language to the vast majority of the world...

I can't choose an absolute favorite, that's like choosing a favorite child.

It's a toss up between the Mass Effect Trilogy, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher (in partiuclarly 3) and (most) of Fallout games (but in particular 1 and 2).

If you were to put a gun to my head I'd probably pick either Mass Effect Trilogy or Cyberpunk 2077, probably based on what game i've played for the millionth time most recently.

I love how in a world where we banned straws we are somehow OK with Microsoft pushing people to recycle their old but otherwise adequate system for what, to the vast majority of people, are some paper thin security advantages.

Anybody who asks me about Windows 10's EOL date will be introduced to the option of using Linux before i'll help them select a replacement system. Especially if they literally only use a browser there really is no reason to go through hoops or spend money to stick with Windows.

People choosing to stay in the workforce until they almost tip over is great if that's what they want. There's definitely something to be said for keeping some sort of structure. If seen retirement degrade way too many people.

Being forced to stay in the workforce needs to die a swift death.

Getting banned from Reddit is Reddit doing you a favor.

That was before Steam Deck and Proton, though, so I should probably test it all again.

The steam deck is exactly what convinced me to give Linux a whirl on my main gaming PC again and honestly I regret not making this move way earlier.

Everything that runs on a steam deck should run on any Linux PC. This list of games recently crossed 18k.

So far I have zero regrets, performance of the games i've played to date is on par with what I was seeing on Windows, even with Nvidia's notoriously bad reputation for Linux support.

Proton is an absolutely bonkers development and Valve's doing legendary work with it's push for Linux.

I do have to end this by saying I don't do online gaming so I have not had to deal with anti-cheat bullshit that doesn't want to work on anything that's not Windows and 99.9 percent of my games exist in either Steam or GOG. (the latter of which is supported on Linux with the Heroic launcher)

The way it's looking now, I consider the chance of me migrating back to Windows on my private machines near zero. Games were the only thing keeping me on windows privately.

Government needs to fully migrate to open source. Instead of re-inventing the wheel contribute to existing projects.

Proton is fairly far in delivering a polished unified experience in commonly used internet services, including mail + calendar, password manager, file/photo storage and vpn services.

Yeah we cancelled any plans we had for a US visit. Not taking any risks with those action eager ICE pricks with my wife being from Mexico.

We'll revisit that prospect if and when this hellish insanity dies down.

I wonder if there's any data on tourism decline since cheeto started flailing his proverbial axe around blindly.

Mark is a smart guy, I'm sure he walks great big circles around anything political, at least publicly.

His audience is everybody, aligning publicly with any kind of political flow is generally a bad idea if you want that to stay that way, because the only thing you'll likely achieve is shrinking your potential audience.

I would also be careful with the assumption that all conservatives agree with what's currently happening.

Muñoz, from Peru, overstayed her visa but had applied for legal residency.

I have to assume this guy was aware of this. So if you vote to have "illegals" deported, how is this not exactly what you voted for?

They really don't like having to think about things do they?

I wonder if he told at all her he votes for people that want her gone.

Jammer! Maar het nog op Corona gooien is wel een beetje een cop-out. Er zat een Dim Sum restaurantje waar ik graag at die weg ging en waar ze nooit vervanging voor geregeld hebben bijvoorbeeld.
