Could be as simple as journalists who know that no show or movie will get a sequel/second season without making money even if people really liked it, so they wore about the numbers to imply more will be made

That's very true and i figured I'd get downvoted for asking, it's just this election has me so nervous because it's still such a toss up and people equate any (even perceived) economic downturn as being the fault of the current administration. I just wanted to know if anyone here had any more insight on the dude.

At the end of the day it's all about the workers and i don't mind suffering small inconveniences if it gets the wiring class better lives.

Is this the same strike where the union leader is like friends with Trump? I've been feeling weird since I heard that because I'm all about workers striking but it seems like it might also be designed timing wise to make biden/harris look bad for the economy right before the election?

I know this is a joke but deflation can be scary too. Basically if it becomes a pattern then consumer spending will crater since people know if they wait their money will be with more in the future. Obviously this effect is less on stuff people have to buy to survive but it's still not desired.

The sense of obligation towards your coworkers is something companies absolutely abuse and exploit. I'm not saying don't have empathy for your fellow human, but people aren't typically incentivized to use best possible solutions if they take more work outside of this obligation so you have to be careful to not let yourself be exploited because of it.

The line wrap with fasci-nating is too good, that's gotta be intentional

This is such a weird "america bad" take; having universal healthcare has nothing to do with wanting to hold corporations accountable for their shitty behavior.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but as someone who just started programming like 2 years ago, main makes more sense and is a more approachable name to me than master

The scam part comes when you are forced to fight tooth and nail to get money from them even when you are clearly covered

Imagine if you played monopoly but everything on the board was already owned by somebody else and the prices to buy any property from that other party were more than you start with and every time you go around the board all you can do is just do your best to break even.

In the article it says airlines dont like this tactic because it cuts in to their profits. But that could only be true if their prices weren't actually based on the costs of a flight but were instead just designed to basically scam people. Why would a flight from FL to NC cost more than a flight from FL to NY that happens to stop in NC? Airlines are a fucking cartel.
