I’m a person without that background and I’ll talk about it. What’s the uncanny similarity you mentioned?

Nightmare Before Christmas. Not that I want a sequel, mind you, but it is Disney we’re talking about here. It’s like a to tobacco addict turning down one specific brand of cigarettes.

Correct. His business is being an offensive blowhard, which attracts a certain kind of person who perceives it as strength. Then they pay him to make them feel better about beibng offensive blowhards.

Everything about this is a nightmare.

Good for him, I guess, but ... I wouldn't want to live in that POS even if you paid me. These stories are so frustrating because they start to normalize that living in a shoebox is normal. It isn't. It's terrible.

Beeper is more than that. Beeper MINI is about that. But I've been using Beeper on my PC for the past year because I am so tired of picking up my phone a million times a day just to send someone a message. I'd say probably 90% of the people I know use iPhone/iMessage so having the ability to message them on desktop was a lifesaver for me. Really bummed it's not working anymore.

I used to look to Reddit when big news broke because it was always on the front page within minutes. This past year there have been a few times that big news stories weren't even on the top few pages. I gave Lemmy a try, and it feels just like reddit from 2013. I love it. I'm home.

I don’t think media companies realize they’re doing me a favor when they block me from reading their articles (for any reason). I spend too much time on my phone mindlessly scrolling anyway.

The literal IRS tax filing isn’t enough evidence for you?

We might be thinking of different meanings of the word value. If value means anything that is worth money, then yes she probably is creating value. If value means something that contributes to society and mankind then… Bullshit job.

Terrible game, and I regret spending money on it. The Blizzard I knew from the 90s, man that name was synonymous with quality. They were the Rockstar of their day. That company is long dead.

I’m Jason Adam, the book designer who designed Art of Atari! It’s true - the graphics were so basic back then that the art had to do all the heavy lifting.
