I personally use Nobara, I am happy with my setup. I primarily use my system for gaming and it runs great. I have always heard that having an Nvidia card is an issue, but it's been seamless for me, Nobara takes care of a lot of that stuff for you.

A second m.2 for trying out the switch to Linux. It went well, primary boot now.

Edit: I went with Nobara.

I love Yorkshire gold, easy to find over here in Canada.

The article seems to be about Bluesky responding to the finding that user data is being scraped because it is public. They are discussing how best to implement user control, and specifically which system is most widely recognised so that it actually reduces data scraping when you select that option. There's not much there that seems to indicate enshitification, unless it's that they are admitting no matter which protocol they use, some actors will always ignore it.

This is true, but currently that is also much needed for the Ukrainian forces as well. Time is needed to consolidate after the withdrawal from Kursk and to get more European integration up and running.

Canada is facing an existential threat right now. While I agree that a sub building program is ultimately where we want to end up, we don't have time or finance for that as well as the dozens of other procurements our military is desperate for. The KSS-III batch 2 would be a perfect fit for Canada in a few ways. Firstly, it's a tested design and is in production. This could mean our forces could train immediately on in-service ROKN boats while new hulls are under construction. That could very much reduce time to deployment from the decade or so we'd need for a fully Canadian program to maybe 2 years. Secondly, the KSS-III is one of the very few conventional boats with VLS capability. It is paired with the Hyunmoo 4-4 ballistic missile, which has been successfully launched from the submerged boat. Since the only real defence Canada will ever have against American aggression is a nuclear deterrent, that capability could be key to deployment. The final point I would make in favour of the KSS-III is the size of the hull. It is already one of the largest conventional boats around. It would be a very solid design platform for an expansion to a nuclear powered platform in the future. That could represent a possible partnership between Canada and ROK going forward as our democracies look to survive against the authoritarian superpowers we are surrounded by.

When videogame names leak into real life.

The F-35 deal pretty much has go too, we can't but our frontline equipment from an adversary. The modernization of the Rafale and the Gripen E both say they have an enhanced ability to engage 5th gen jets, both could be a good call for Canada.

I have this keyboard, while it does have a fairly good feel, the plastic structure is pretty flimsy. I'm not sure if recommend it over a good modern mechanical kB.

America is the enemy. Smaller states need to work closely together to resist the wanker states like Russia, America, and China.

Also, the Nazi salutes from the podium during the ascension of a fascist leader might make them bolder too.

I have recently been having an issue where filters are applied, not by me, while I'm browsing in Connect. Entire communities are showing no posts with the message, "Empty because all posts are being filtered". There are no filters turned on in the settings that I can see. Many comments are also hidden due to filters, including my own. I have checked in using the browser interface and everything is normal there.

Is there a setting I am missing, or do I have another issue with the app?

Edit: Issue solved, apparently I had blocked lemmy.world though I'm not sure how.

I am receiving this error when I attempt to install via the manager, but I am able to install via Terminal. That said I am getting an option to install for either System or User, which I haven't previously seen. I'm sure this is probably something pretty basic, but I'm fairly Linux illiterate... beyond knowing I can mess things up by fiddling without knowing what I'm doing.

I am on Nobara 37, Gnome 43.2, Wayland. I'd love a hand with this, thanks!
