If your talking about the European Citizen's Initiative, that's not your run of the mill change.org petition that amounts to nothing but an inbox full of spam. If 1.000.000 EU citizens sign it, the European Commission ~~may consider it~~ will be required to debate it and therefore may propose legislation to support it. Did UK people smoke much more back then? I recently went on vacation to Germany and was appalled at how acceptable it is there. Here in the Netherlands we have a program called "Smoke-free generation", which forbids smoking in places that children often visit, such as schools and sports fields. From what I heard, the bottom kinda fell out when vaping became popular under teenagers.

That alone would cost like €5 here. It only ever makes sense to go there when I've been driving for the whole day and just need to eat plain old boring food. For another few euros I can go to something like the Salsa Shop and get a massive burrito that'll keep me full for half a day. Ironically, it's often multiple times faster than THE fast food restaurant.
