If all federated communities could decide upon to regulate same rules, every one of them could be moderated by their own moderators. But the problem I see here is the things that's being federated is in reality server itself which means it would be impossible(not sure but at least not necessary) to do such a thing. But anyone can easily build an app to collect posts from same communities, it does not require to play with activitypub, just lemmy api.

There is a continuous decrease in number. That incident should be seen as a reverse spike.

Once I was exactly like you described: "people who want FOSS everything but they contribute nothing". Indeed, it was really bothering me to not contribute anything, but the reason was I didn't have much confidence about my skills. I slowly break that barrier of lacking confidence.

If there are people out there like who I was, please just go and commit anything on any project, whatever it is, doesn't matter.

It is really authentic but there are many better and new standarts out there thta makes irc unnecessary, but still for tha sake of authenticcity you may use it with friends etc. Me myself running a server for bunch of my friends and since all of them are into tech relevant topics we have written pretty cool irc bots.

btw i dont believe there is someone out here in lemmy who doesnt know irc

what I can think of

No resistance => faster tech, less temp in tech

Hovering things, especially for public transportation

Cheaper mri

It is not easy to explain this with in a thread but if you learn the rise of our modern world it will make sense why there are starving people. Yes there are solutions but you can't just make everyone that happy, don't forget that humans are greedy and don't trust and cooperate with each other for no reason.

Even though Apple is not sharing personal data with third parties, relatively recently they started to use personal data in order to use them on advertisement of their own services. And considering the entire Apple ecosystem(if you are using all devices of course) it is a bit concerning they are using all of those data.
