Right so you're an expert negotiator that thinks you should never ever ask for more than you think you'll get because you're afraid some people on the internet will write that you have "childish rhetoric and illogical manurisms[sic]"?

Ukraine is currently using ATACMS rockets to soften up Russia's air defenses in preparation for using the F-16s that'll soon be arriving. It seems the "childish rhetoric" is working. I guess Zelenskyy will just have to accept that people that can't even spell his name might think less of him. Oh well...

Counterpoint: The opinions of people that know about Durandal don't matter to the people whose opinions matter about article headlines.

Yeah it sucks how the AP is exposing you to the reality of how women are oppressed in Afghanistan, even at the post office. The story about the post office (which actually does link to to an article about the sanctions BTW) should be focused on how evil the US is, of course! It should never ever mention that women are required to be completely covered to be able to use the postal service. We don't want people to know about that!

Trustbusting would be a solution, but people gotta get behind it. Guess which guy running for President is moving in that direction? Hint: it's not the billionaire.

The "Jews control the media" is an antisemitic conspiracy theory that's probably at least a century old at this point.

When faced with facts that contradict Jews controlling everything, you try to rationalize that it's somehow the part of a Jew plot to to downplay how much influence they have.

When you're this dedicated to antisemitic conspiracy theories don't act so hurt what someone calls out your antisemitism. Either accept your world view might need some adjustment or accept that you're just gonna be an antisemite for the rest of your miserable life. If you're gonna be a racist asshole at least be honest about it.

You're making up stories that imply that a black person is dishonest. You can make up whatever story you want, but I can make assumption about you the same way you're making assumptions about the person that posted the photo.

So I'm going to assume you're racist against black people.

Just making up whatever story I feel like!

Every day I feel more and more like this LOTR shot:

I feel like there were saucer shaped space ships in other things previously.

If it were an asymmetric design with the cockpit off to the side, then sure there's a real connection. But a spaceship being vaguely saucer shaped? Nah it's just a common design for a spaceship.

Diversity Equity Inclusion. Some businesses have some people to try to make sure their hiring practices aren't discriminatory, and that's referred to as DEI.

But racists are against all of those things so to them DEI is a bad thing. And as these things go, DEI has become a codeword they use to express anger at anyone non-white having a job or represented in any kind of media. Like most dog whistles they pretend that they're cleverly avoiding being overtly racist but it doesn't fool anyone.

The part where liberals are right now on phones and going door to door to try to stop Trump while you're doing nothing except typing some inane "both sides" bullshit which does nothing to stop fascism or white supremacy.

You just want to be so holier than thou that you won't do anything in the real world to oppose the things you claim to be against on the internet. You're not more pure than liberals, you're just lazy.

Protest swiftly condemned by all levels of government; organizing group denies hospital targeted

Toronto police say they are increasing their presence along hospital row after a pro-Palestinian protest downtown on Monday night, including outside Mount Sinai Hospital.

Toronto Police Service spokesperson Stephanie Sayer told CBC News the increased police presence is to ensure that essential hospital services and emergency routes remain accessible.

"Interfering with the operations of a hospital is not acceptable," Sayer wrote in an email.

Police have not said if the hospital's operations were impacted by the protest. The hospital has not responded to CBC News's request for comment.

"The Toronto Police Service is investigating several incidents that occurred in front of Mount Sinai Hospital and along the demonstration route. As we have said before, officers use their discretion during large crowd demonstrations and even if arrests are not deemed safe to make at the time, investigations will continue and charges can be laid at a later date," Sayer said.

GENEVA, Jan 26 (Reuters) - The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said on Friday it had opened an investigation into several employees suspected of involvement in the Oct. 7 attacks in Israel by Hamas and that it had severed ties with those staff members. "The Israeli authorities have provided UNRWA with information about the alleged involvement of several UNRWA employees in the horrific attacks on Israel on October 7," said Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General.

"To protect the agency's ability to deliver humanitarian assistance, I have taken the decision to immediately terminate the contracts of these staff members and launch an investigation in order to establish the truth without delay."

Lazzarini did not disclose the number of employees allegedly involved in the attacks, nor the nature of their alleged involvement. He said, however, that "any UNRWA employee who was involved in acts of terror" would be held accountable, including through criminal prosecution.

I'm going to the game tomorrow and I want my Jose Bautista bobblehead!

Does anyone know how long before the game you have to be at the Skydome before they run out of bobble heads?
