My concern is more what the impact of uncontrolled degrowth or sudden realignments of wealth and resources. The rich rarely suffer, but workers and the underclass in the global north might suffer badly if the pace of change is too fast to adapt to.

People align with their class interests. Class traitors are exceptional.

It's not surprising that someone with a keen understanding of the global north/south divide would do a complete full fascist 180 when they are shocked into realigning with their class (global north) interests. They understand that their entire body of work is still legit, it's just that their class interest is to now denounce it because they are horrified by the implications.

The truth is, the global south has no reason to be kind to the global north once the tables have turned. The global south has no guarantee of becoming socialist, only the potential opportunity. The only certainty of multipolarity and global south development is that living standards in the global north will sharply decrease as the disparity balances out, and that can only really happen via counter-imperialist forces that are opposing imperial market penetration.

Competent imperialists have to understand marxist analysis too, because it's the only lens of analysis that actually makes makes sense at different scales. That's why, when the mask slips, the liberal platitudes morph into zero-sum conflict theory materialist assessments on how to maintain the empire. The real evil of how to dominate markets is done via materialist analysis and disguised with liberal fluff.

How does a global north third worldist stay sane in the face of what might happen, what we've done to others, and what might happen to us when the tables turn? I don't know yet, it's scary, but I'm not going to become an imperialist cheerleader.

You should stick around and keep posting adorable little tantrums.

Libs furiously insisting you still have to vote for a candidate that has openly condemned you for being against genocide.

I think it will be coming hard and fast.

If you don't move, you don't notice your chains. Being censored directly on reddit was extremely radicalizing for a lot of people here. Once you've noticed the chains, it's almost impossible to unsee them. Once you've had physical violence committed against you at a peaceful protest, you can't forget just how thin the veneer of civility is. They're creating an entire generation of people like us by actively censoring and over reacting. The illusion is shattered permanently for more people every day.

The general vibe of news and economics recently has me worried.

I always thought that my life would pass without a revolution in the "international community". Now I'm not so sure. If things keep getting worse for western sphere countries at the same rate, as now, and China rises at the same rate as now, intense violence could kick off within a couple of decades. Openly bloody and fascist reaction in the crumbling of the old order. I didn't expect the mask of "freedom and democracy" to drop as fast as it has, combined with the open acknowledgements that China is surpassing us.

Our century of humiliation will be us humiliating ourselves and I feel like it might be coming fast.

I honestly thought I might get through it all without living through the spicy times.

Operation Genocide Guardian is going to be the suez crisis moment of our time. There's no way it does anything but make the US look impotent and deplete munitions stocks further.

Excuse me for excusing Palestinians for being viscerally angry about what they are subjected to.

You don't get points for trying to be unrealistically civil with apartheid occupiers who think you're subhuman. The ones who literally cannot stand to be in your filthy presence without you being legally subject to their racial hierarchy will fuck off back to a country that coddles poor oppressed loser racists like some Rhodesian's did.

The rest will stay and become a real part of the land, rather than a vicious, poisonous tumour growing over and consuming it.

That's not true at all.

If the civilians are lucky, their captors are more humane than the average settler.

The occupation of Palestine has produced some of the bravest and most resourceful fighters in history.

Interesting video on the specific challenges faced by people with ADHD, how they create feedback loops, and how to become aware of them and tackle them. Long video which isn't exactly our strong suit, but the actual lecture is 1h08m, the rest is additional question and answer that might also be interesting. Push through the neuroscience part, it's worth it.
