For the typical "average" person, that's likely.

But the early adopting power user, looking for alternatives to Google, aren't those "average" people.

I'm 22 days into my month, and have 688 searches so far. But when unlimited was $15, I had no real trouble staying under 300.

People search so much mainly because they're used to free unlimited searches.

Well, that makes me feel a little better.

My first reaction was "Why wasn't this done when the decision was first leaked? Why wait 2 years?"

The Reproductive Freedom for Women Act [...] is just a few sentences long. It states that “protections for access to abortion rights and other reproductive health care” [...] “should be supported.” It adds that “the protections enshrined in Roe v. Wade ... should be restored and built upon, moving towards a future where there is reproductive freedom for all.”

That's not the language of writing laws. It's completely vague and unenforceable. It really is just a political stunt for an election year.

Why is it so hard to make a real law to actually do this!?

Maybe. It would be nice.
But with one national company having that much market share, they could easily cut prices below cost for 6 months, forcing the locals to close.

if Biden's on the ticket you'll vote for him.

I know I'd vote for a cat if it was on the ticket. Even an orange one. And I'd feel better about it than voting for Biden, since I'd know nobody was lying to me about it's ability to do the job.

It would be more entertaining than sad anyway.

In the booth, on election day, sure.
But that's still months away. No reason to not spend today trying to find someone people want to vote for. Someone who's actually likely to finish the term.

I don't think you're taking into account the dynamics of Biden's situation here. He no longer has the support he once had. Almost anyone would do at least as well as Biden is doing now. And it'll only get worse for him.

The Democrats need to switch to a contested convention as fast as possible. Other hopefuls need to start talking as though Biden is already out, and make their case for the nomination.

I'm in Albuquerque. 3/4 of all supermarkets are either Albertson's or Smith's (Kroger). It will be a massive hit to local grocery competition. Prices will absolutely go up.

That's awesome!

Does it make more or less sense than "Another year of record breaking heat"?

"Hottest year on record" is like a child stopping on each step of a staircase saying, "I've never been this high!" It's correct, but doesn't mean much in context, and gets old real quick.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

None of the major Fediverse projects have real monetization.
Why single out PeerTube?

Why would you expect monetization at this point?

Do you think it should be monetized, or are you just surprised it hasn't been?

What form of monetization are you imagining?

How long does it take, to stop being a "wave", and just become the new "high tied" of summer?
