Fml when the exterior is just masking and changing all.the time, dragging me along (and draining my energy).

Haha, that's exactly what ours does at 3 to 4 am in the night/morning. But nobody hears his lamentations.

(and yes he has an vip entrance which he does know well)

A lot of these are default reactions in Germany (also by women).

As a non US citizen I'll say it again: you factually only have right.

The day most realize this will be the start of change.

IT.

If you fix an issue that should've caused something not to work previously, but it did.

Samsung. It's not US nor Chinese.

Um yeah! But have you ever thought about the shareholders? Or even thanked them?

It depends, you might get disability support. In Europe of course. But if you've already got that there is no added benefit there additionally.

However, it might be great to know and get the world off your back even if it's only or maybe especially for yourself. Have a look at the comic 'hidden differences', I thought it shows that point quite well.

I'd love to get the diagnosis, but sadly in my (EU) country it's almost impossible as an adult and I already paid money myself for this. So I am happy just knowing.

I purchased a set of new ones because they were old and brittle and one rubber has already split.

One of the three (2 front 1 back) I had to break apart with a pipe wrench to get it off because it was completely stuck.

So, we're in 2026. The process of getting into a new year is mostly a busy, loud thing.

How do you do it? Do you have any ways of coping or getting around the stress?

For me it's mostly limiting the amount of people and having a safe space to be able to go back to when needed. But I am pondering better methods.

Edit: I mean the new years eve, party and fireworks directly.

Hey!

If there's confusion related to the title, its just a reference that the system has won, I lost, once again.

So my paid for professional diagnosis is done for now, I am refused the official recognition as an Autist. It's all still there though.

I am livid. And empty.

I guess it's my fault since >40 years of adapting and masking can make you too social, that's what it broke down to. I am friendly and open and excel at masking.

They don't see the price I (we) pay.

Apologies for the rant. I need your support.

The Oktoberfest has been evacuated and closed down, pending to reopen at 5pm local time.

Development is ongoing and changing by the minute.

So here I am, pretty confident in what I am but diagnosis is upcoming but not yet done.

Still, for different reasons I am in therapy. It happens to revolve around generic stuff which might be useful for people who don't know themselves very well or have suppressed emotions or other stuff. All of which is definetly not me.

Mostly I know what he's getting at but I feel I am far ahead in my thoughts and out of his league.

I also know what some of the answers are going to be (both sides basically) but would like to ask for your experience with neurotypical therapists.

In short: I don't think they have any idea of our scope and can not apply their knowledge appropriately.

Edit: thanks for the answers (so far and maybe following)! The situation I stated left quite a bit out on details, especially the credit that I got on the right path due to the help of the therapy. Apologies for that. However, my focus was on the current state and that's where I was thinking of asking about your experiences.

Hallo zusammen.

Danke.

Hello!

Is there a place where one could offer stories which would be interesting to write to authors which might be looking for stories?

I have a life story to give and work out but I am no author, but I think it's worth telling.

Other than straight up paying a ghost writer, are there people interested in doing this?

Thanks
