A thing that I like is that we allow kit posts on here. I often want to discuss certain released kits but r/soccer remove posts like kit releases, probably because it's not significant enough to keep up and it clutters up an already busy subreddit.

These are the ones I use -

  • archive.is/archive.ph the one mentioned in the main post and one that is most effective out of all the options

  • 12ft Ladder - What I like about 12ft.io is that once it gets rid of the paywall, it makes sure the website stays as the mobile site (if you're using your phone), whilst archive.ph uses the desktop form by default. However, 12ft.io does not work as well as archive.ph

  • Remove Paywall - Even more limited than 12ft.io, but it's another alternative. As the site says, make sure to add RemovePaywall.com/ ahead of the URL if you want to copy the unpaywalled link.

  • Chip - The most limited option out of all four, I think. Another disadvantage is that I don't think you can copy the unpaywalled version's link, unlike the others.

How do you archive a page onto that website?

Walker is wanted by both sides (City would probably not mind keeping him but would also be happy with letting him go out of respect), whereas Cancelo is not wanted by City and Bayern doesn't want to pay the fee that City wants.

While he has made it known that he isn't happy with his reduced minutes, Walker has got his head down and stepped up when Pep needed him. Cancelo on the other hand, has kicked up so much fuss to the point where he doesn't have a future at City after being the defender that played the most. Pretty different situations here I would say.

Because they want Mbappe to be the poster boy for the club. He has the perfect marketing potential for them - a Parisien playing for the city's biggest club, one of the best players in the world and young.

Ah, okay. Your link was to the /c/formula1@lemmy.ml on your post, not the /c/football community, so was confused.

Ah, can't believe I did that, I was just looking around for other communities lol. Will edit it so it's correct.

Could it be a setting on the lemm.ee instance that makes it possible to subscribe, but not interact with lemmy.world communities?

I don't think they have anything on their sidebar that says they're preventing lemm.ee subscribers from interacting with lemmy.world.

I'm talking about this !football community on lemmy.world. Apart from my "pending subscription" to one of the lemmy.ml communities on my lemm.ee account, I can load content on the others. It's just https://lemmy.world/c/football that doesn't load anything for some reason.

Has anyone else from another instance struggled to load content on https://lemmy.world/c/formula1@lemmy.ml?

For example, I created my original account on lemm.ee but after subscribing to this community, it just shows "no posts" for me, let alone interact with the posts. It has been the same for a couple of days now. I've had to create this account on lemmy.world in order to actually be able to see the content.
