My instance is working well on 0.19.2 finally with the caveat that it (still) need a daily reboot (docker).

So yes I think it's wise to wait a bit more.

Yeah gen-x here, at the beginning there were nothing.

Then I got this "home computer" with the blazing speed at 1MHz (yeah, 0.001GHz and quite unoptimized) bringing me wonders above comprehension.

And then it got faster, better, bigger, smaller, over and over and over ... It felt crazy whaen anything doubled like speed, memory, discs, screen resolution, internet speed, ...

I feel todays computers are more than enough (except for research basically) and that was a crazy arc, from nothing to basic completeness.

Well that's how I feel it anyways 💖

Don't worry, it's just the content creators and mods that left!

Hello!

I'm looking for some place where information about installing Lemmy could be found, but also added.

There seems to be some quirks (like if you don't have the mail setup correctly you cannot log in, or the nix sockets are read only etc.)

So instead of asking for help with my specific problem (I managed a couple then got stuck) I think the best way would be to have a sub-lemmy somewhere (for example) where people who want to try to install Lemmy can discuss and help eachothers.

Thoughts?

Maybe the difference in security is the culprit, my home PC is snappy, my work PC not at all (and is better).

That's maybe why my old Linux box running an old 4gen intel is insta-quick, no slow heuristic "AI" scanning-uploading-waiting for an answer every time I do the smallest thing...

Bordeaux, super un-normal heat all spring, with the allergy-red-alert (from trees etc.) going since around 3 months (also a "record") :-/

Yeah the popup works flawlessly! I think it's the only site in the world where I accepted notifications :-)

Good luck with the work!

It would be fun if he loses by just a tiny bit so they can keep all that "stolen election" by themselves :-)
